Strengths
Kennedy Chandler is a very fast guard who wants to push the ball. With his speed and quick first step, Chandler creates a ton of space between himself and his defender. He shoots very well from mid-range on both set shots and pull-up jump shots. Chandler succeeds as a slasher but has shown the ability to step out and hit three-point shots. He is an athletic player who can play above the rim on offense and defense. Chandler uses this athleticism on defense to suffocate opponents and drain their energy.
Weaknesses
Chandler’s six-foot height makes him a little small to succeed in the NBA. Even though he can play quick and physical defense, his size may prove to be a liability in the NBA. He struggles from the free throw line, shooting just above 60% last season. A slow release may cause him to struggle to score the ball early in his career.
