Fantasy Football Playoffs Strength of Schedule: Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers showcased one of their more dominating all-around performances this past Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Yet, the team was a last-second away from losing the game. While the running game was dominant, the passing game was non-existent without their franchise quarterback. Fast-forward to Wednesday, and Packers fans held their breaths waiting for a positive Jordan Love injury update.

And they got exactly that. In a non-padding Wednesday practice, we received a positive Jordan Love injury update of his participating in on-field activity while also noting he feels much better as compared to this time last week.

We will take a closer look at this Jordan Love injury update below, as well as discuss others on the Week 3 Green Bay Packers injury report. We even have video from Love’s Wednesday practice.

Jordan Love Injury Update Brings Positive Packers News

As seen in the video above, Jordan Love returned to the Green Bay Packers practice field on Wednesday for an unpadded practice. He is seen wearing a sleeve on his injured leg, and it appears he has a small brace on the knee that suffered the sprained MCL. The practice was far from game speed, but it was good to see the young quarterback do some light jogging, twisting, and jumping from the injured leg.

With a tough matchup against a Tennessee Titans defense that has looked very good, it is unlikely we see the franchise quarterback suit up despite the positive Jordan Love injury update. It does suggest, however, that a Week 4 return against the Minnesota Vikings is in play.

And of course, the Football Gods would not rob us all of the incredible storyline of Malik Willis starting against his former team a couple of weeks after they traded him. Seriously, how does the NFL always fall into these scenarios? It’s the best reality show on TV.

Green Bay Packers Injury Report | Week 3 vs Titans

The following is the Green Bay Packers injury report from Wednesday’s practice ahead of their Week 3 matchup with the Tennessee Titans. Today’s practice was unpadded. Also, rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd has been placed on IR, meaning he is out for at least four weeks.

    • G Elgton Jenkins: DNP (Illness, Glute)
    • OL Jordan Morgan: DNP (Shoulder)
    • WR Jayden Reed: DNP (Calf)
    • CB Carrington Valentine: DNP (Ankle)
    • DT Kenny Clark: LP (Toe)
    • DE Kingsley Enagbare: LP (Groin)
    • RB Josh Jacobs: LP (Back)
    • TE Tucker Kraft: LP (Shoulder)
    • QB Jordan Love: LP (Knee)
    • C Josh Myers: LP (Ankle)
    • OT Zach Tom: LP (Quad)
    • OT Rasheed Walker: LP Shoulder)

Once again, Jordan Love returned to practice and was limited. While he is likely out Week 3 with a knee injury, a returned against the Vikings in Week 4 is on the table.

It is not great to see the entire starting offense line on the Packers injury report. However, many of the players on the list are getting much-needed days off. Not only was last weekend a physical game that saw multiple players puking on the field, the Titans will be a defense that is both faster and stronger than the Colts. On top of that, the weather forecast currently says it will be a high of 94 degrees in Nashville on Sunday. That’s not great for an offense that ran the ball an insane number of times last week and will likely attempt to do so again.

Some may be worried to see Josh Jacobs on the injury report. After carrying the team last week, his back is sore. Considering he is on track for 425 touches this season (after logging a 400+ touch season in the recent past), Jacobs will need his workload lessened or he will break down at some point. With MarShawn Lloyd on IR, Green Bay doesn’t seem willing to give Emanuel Wilson many touches of his own, but they will have to.
