NFL referees and officiating have been a hot topic over the past week plus on X and really all over the internet. Personally, I don’t know what all of the fuss is about. John Murray of the Westgate Superbook in Las Vegas has been referring to the NFL as “Ref Ball” for years. The sooner we accept the refs’ hilarity, the better. In other words, stop being so damn angry, everyone! But hey, if you’re truly convinced that the fix is in, you might as well make some money off of these Super Bowl props, right?
There have been all sorts of different Super Bowl novelty props available for action over the years, but this is the first time I can recall a single book having such an extensive menu specifically for officiating. BetOnline Sportsbook is the place to go for any and all officiating props for the Ref…errr…Super Bowl in 2025. So, while Uncle Mike is raising hell at your Super Bowl party over the bad calls, you can just laugh and crack another beer while watching your bank account grow!

Who are the Super Bowl 2025 Referees?
Ron Torbert has received the nod as the head referee for Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles This marks the second time that America will be graced by Torbert’s presence on the mic for a Super Bowl as he previously officiated the Super Bowl LVI matchups between the Bengals and Rams back in 2022.
If Torbert’s track record during the regular season serves as any indication, the laundry could be flying around the field on Super Bowl Sunday. According to referee crew statistics from NFLPenalties.com, Torbert averaged the third-most accepted penalties and the fourth-most total flags thrown per game.
Now, it is worth pointing out that this won’t be Torbert’s usual crew of referees working the Super Bowl. It’s also worth noting that only one other ref besides Torbert on the Super Bowl 2025 crew has prior experience officiating in the Big Game. The rest of the crew for this year’s NFL title game is as follows:
- Umpire: Mike Norton
- Down Judge: Max Causey
- Line Judge: Mark Stewart
- Side Judge: Boris Cheek
- Field Judge: Mearl Robinson
- Back Judge: Jonah Monroe
- Replay Official: Kevin Brown
