Notable Green Bay Packers Undrafted Free Agents
You may feel like Packers UDFAs aren’t a big deal. For the majority, you’re probably right. However, sometimes you find a diamond in the rough.
Allen Lazard entered the 2022 NFL Draft as the Packers’ top wide receiver. He has grown into a solid contributor for the Packers, being a solid blocker while also making downfield players. Lazard was an undrafted free agent in 2018.
Robert Tonyan went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft. After spending a little bit of time with the Detroit Lions, the Packers signed Tonyan, developed him, and now he has turned into a solid contributor to the offense.
Yosh Nijman stepped up and played well as the starter at left tackle for the Packers last season, after being an undrafted free agent in 2019.
Sam Shields was a Packers undrafted free agent in 2010. He ended up making some starts at cornerback during the Packers’ Super Bowl run. He totaled 18 interceptions in seven years with Green Bay.
John Kuhn went undrafted in the 2005 NFL Draft, spending some time with the Steelers. He later came to Green Bay and became a fan favorite at fullback.
