George Pickens Draft Profile
Strengths
George Pickens excels at using his hands and a quick burst to beat press coverage. He cuts on his routes very well, giving quarterbacks an easy opportunity to hit him while he is open. Pickens has the ability to focus on catching the ball in double and triple coverage and the ability to make most of the catches around him with a wide catch radius. His strong hands limit drops.
Weaknesses
Pickens’ height in relation to his weight bring up questions regarding his strength. He tries to get off of press coverage with finesse as opposed to strength. Pickens missed most of the 2021 season with an ACL tear, and he peaked in college during his freshman season.
