Taking a look at the best low-owned fantasy football WR options to play in Week 3, including the Tennessee Titans’ Elic Ayomanor.
After a crazy Week 1, fantasy football players were treated to a Week 2 that saw multiple quarterbacks get bitten by the injury bug. These injuries have shaken up the wide receiver landscape, leaving some big-time pieces on the waiver wire this week. Usually, the first few weeks are the most important to land a player on waivers, as often the “breakout” fantasy football WRs each year are streamer picks around this time.
Using information that we learned last week, we can get an idea of which wide receivers owned in under 60% of ESPN fantasy leagues have the best matchups to be included among our Week 3 WR fantasy football streamers! When you’re done, check out our Week 3 fantasy football rankings!

Low-Owned Fantasy Football WR Streaming Options Week 3
Romeo Doubs at Cleveland Browns (26.1% Owned)
There may not be a receiver in the NFL who has done more with less than Romeo Doubs of the Green Bay Packers. While he only has five receptions on the season, he has 96 yards and a touchdown on nine targets. That may not seem like enough output for a receiver you want to stream, but the recent injury to receiver Jayden Reed changes the entire ballgame.
The Packers won’t be able to rely on just Tucker Kraft moving forward, so Romeo Doubs will certainly see a target increase. Even though a matchup with the Cleveland Browns may not seem like one where he’ll see much love, defensive end Myles Garrett will pose problems for this Packers offensive line all day. Joe Flacco isn’t the best quarterback in the league, but he is more than capable of playing the role of “spoiler.” This matchup is absolutely a “trap” game for the Packers, and it won’t be surprising at all if this game remains close for the majority of it. If/when that happens, the Packers will need to keep passing, which should lead to more targets for Doubs.
Elic Ayomanor vs. Indianapolis Colts (13.9% Owned)
A rookie receiver who has already somewhat fallen under the radar is Elic Ayomanor of the Tennessee Titans. Thanks to the franchise’s allergy to winning and his quiet Week 1 output, not many are paying attention to Ayomanor. To put it simply, that’s a mistake. While he has only had six catches over the last two weeks, he has 13 targets over that same span. Taking out a tough Week 1 debut, Ayomanor is coming off a four-catch, 56-yard day that he capped off with a touchdown. The Titans are bad, but outside of Calvin Ridley, there isn’t anyone here who poses a threat to his target share.
The positive side to being in Tennessee is that this team sucks, which leads to more work for the passing game. While they do struggle on both sides of the ball, quarterback Cam Ward has looked solid with what he’s been given and is more than capable of giving Ayomanor the ball. Not only in Week 3, but for the foreseeable future, Ayomanor will be a solid fantasy football WR option with the Titans likely trailing for most, if not all, of their games moving forward. In a meeting against an Indianapolis Colts defense that will allow points, Ayomanor will once again provide FLEX output in Week 3.
Troy Franklin at Los Angeles Chargers (28.4% Owned)
After disappointing dynasty fantasy owners last year, it appears Troy Franklin is finally taking the next step. In just two games, Franklin has caught 12-of-15 targets for 133 yards and a touchdown. Franklin already has almost half of the receptions and receiving yards he had last season. While it’s hardly fair to say that Franklin has surpassed Courtland Sutton in the mind of quarterback Bo Nix, he has a pretty strong grasp on the WR2 position in this offense. Franklin has a large frame at 6’3″ and can jump and run with the best of them.
Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos have struggled out of the gate so far this year. After sporting an elite defense last year and Bo Nix looking like the second-best quarterback in his rookie draft class, both have taken a step back. While that may seem worrisome at a distance, that may only benefit Franklin’s production. If the defense is giving up more points, the Broncos are going to have to score more points, meaning they won’t just be able to sit on their run game and bleed the clock. If Nix continues struggling, they will also likely need to pass more of the game if the game is close or if Denver finds itself in a hole. It is unfair to expect this kind of production all season from Franklin, but until we see some regression, feel confident starting him as a FLEX play until he shows otherwise.
