Ja’Marr Chase is the WR1 for the season, and he has played well against the Baltimore Ravens. He has scored six touchdowns in eight games against them, and Chase has totaled 7+ receptions in six of his eight games against them. Earlier this season, Chases totaled 10 catches for 193 yards and two touchdowns against the Ravens. Baltimore made a trade for Tre’Davious White this week, but they have given up the second-most average fantasy points to WRs.

Jordan Addison was upset with his role following Week 8, and he was rewarded with a season-high reception total (5) and a touchdown last week. With Justin Jefferson drawing a ton of attention, and TJ Hockenson drawing eyes underneath now, Addison should continue to be a downfield threat. This week, he faces a Jacksonville Jaguars team that allows the fourth-most average fantasy points to WRs, the third-highest completion rate (70.7%) and the second-highest yards per pass attempt (7.8).

Marvin Harrison Jr. and Kyler Murray are not on the same page. As I said in the offseason, neither of these two is an alpha and they don’t communicate, so MHJ won’t demand the ball and Murray won’t tell him what he needs. This is ultimately the issue. On top of this, the New York Jets allow the fewest average fantasy points to WRs, the second-lowest completion rate (56.9%) and the third-fewest yards per pass attempt (5.6).

Calvin Ridley has had two solid back-to-back weeks, totaling 15 catches for 216 yards in these games. While it’s been nice to see him come alive, he now has a tough matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Quietly, the Chargers have been very solid on defense, allowing the sixth-fewest average fantasy points to WRs, the eighth-lowest completion rate (62.9%) and the fourth-lowest yards per pass attempt (5.9). They will put pressure on the passer as well, since they average three sacks per game. This limits what Ridley will be able to do, and the Chargers’ running game limits the number of possessions in the game.
