As Week 8 of the season wrapped up, there were plenty of players out with injury, which may leave your fantasy football rosters looking a little different and potentially weaker. While it’s hard to bench your fantasy studs you drafted before the season began, the option of streaming players off the waiver wire could bode well for your success in your fantasy football league. It is always a better decision to weigh your options and play the player with a much better matchup than start the same guy every week hoping for a breakout game.

Read on for three wide receiver fantasy football streamers for Week 9. Despite having late-round ADPs or going undrafted, these players have a great chance to carve out a bigger role moving forward, especially with the number of wide receivers still dealing with injuries and are on a bye this week. Unfortunately, it’s TB, DET, WFT and SEA this time around, which will likely hurt most fantasy teams and their wide receiver slots with multiple studs out but nonetheless, streaming options will be available.

Players must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the Week 9 fantasy football wide receiver streamers column. All ownerships for players will be provided and will reflect that of Wednesday morning, once waivers are processed.

Week 9 Fantasy Football WR Streamers

Rashod Bateman, BAL vs. MIN (20.9%)

After missing the first five games of his NFL career, Rashod Bateman has made a very solid impact on the Baltimore passing game through just two games. He’s been targeted six times in back-to-back games and, coming off the bye, should be officially 100 percent healthy. The Ravens face a brutal Minnesota secondary this week who are surrendering over 40.3 fantasy points per game (FPPG) to opposing wide receivers thus far. The Ravens obviously prioritize the run game and have plenty of options in the passing game, but if Bateman continues to carve out a role in the game plan, his fantasy value could jump after this game against a poor secondary.

Van Jefferson, LAR vs. TEN (20.9%)

Despite being the third option behind two very good wide receivers in Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, Van Jefferson has carved out quite the role in the Rams offensive scheme. He’s posted double-digit fantasy points in four of eight games this season and has seen at least three targets in every game. Matthew Stafford finally has a good team around him to sling the ball and they face the Titans this week. Tennessee’s defense is very bad, surrendering a league-worst 47.5 FPPG to opposing wide receivers this season, and the Rams should have no problem moving the ball through the air here. As long as the Titans can respond with points, Stafford and company will be throwing the ball quite a bit.

Elijah Moore, NYJ at IND (12.1%)

The rookie wide receiver, Elijah Moore, has been quite underwhelming this season, failing to catch a single touchdown still through seven games, but his matchup and target share lately bode well for a breakout game here against the Colts. The Indianapolis secondary hasn’t been great, surrendering over 38 FPPG to opposing wide receivers, and Jets quarterback Mike White had himself quite the game last week against the Bengals, targeting Moore six times. Moore has seen back-to-back games with six targets and, on a short week against a lackluster defense, has a chance to catch his first touchdown as long as White builds off his strong game last week.
