The running backs on the waiver wire will likely be scarce in deep formats because of the sheer amount of injuries to the position. However, players emerge every week and if you’re looking for a flex or RB2 option, read on for three fantasy football Week 9 RB streamers that are worth consideration.

Nyheim Hines Fantasy Outlook at NYJ (53.8%)

Nyheim Hines was traded away to the Buffalo Bills just as the NFL Trade Deadline closed on Tuesday afternoon. Hines went from a terrible offense and fantasy situation to an offensive powerhouse and team in need of a true pass-catching back. Any Bills player is a good fantasy start most of the time, which suggests Hines could end up being a solid flex option once he becomes familiar with the playbook.

He should still play with the team this Sunday against the New York Jets but will likely be limited a bit. I expect the Bills to showcase Hines a bit though, so he is a solid fantasy football Week 9 RB streamers option.

Isiah Pacheco Fantasy Outlook vs. TEN (25.0%)

The Kansas City Chiefs backfield is hard to gauge because Isiah Pacheco was named starter two weeks ago despite not dominating the touches out of the backfield. It’s very likely they roll with the three-headed approach because the run game isn’t that great to begin with, but Pacheco will get the bulk of the carries. The Tennessee Titans could be starting rookie Malik Willis again, who completed just five passes in his first start.

The Titans have been solid against opposing running backs, allowing just 18.64 fantasy points per game thus far, but the odds of the Chiefs jumping out to an early lead are high. 

Khalil Herbert Fantasy Outlook vs. MIA (56.2%)

Although David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert are on a pretty even split so far this season, Herbert has been too impressive to not roll with if he’s available in smaller leagues. The Chicago Bears offense has looked rejuvenated as of late, but Herbert has been consistent even during the offensive woes. The Miami Dolphins have a weak defense top to bottom, especially against opposing running backs, allowing just over 23 fantasy points per game thus far.
