With all the injuries going on in the league lately, a lot of eyes in the fantasy world are going to the running back and wide receiver positions. The quarterback position is just as important, however, and has plenty of good options on the fantasy football waiver wire. In a week with plenty of top options being out thanks to bye weeks, it’s important to not be burned due to poor quarterback play.

Read on for three QB fantasy football streamers that are worth consideration for Week 7. In some cases, one might still be able to claim these passers off of waivers. In order to be included in the fantasy football QB streamers article, they must be rostered in less than 60 percent of ESPN leagues.

Week 7 Fantasy Football QB Streamers

Matt Ryan | Atlanta Falcons (at MIA)

Matt Ryan is not a good quarterback. However, he has been playing much better as of late. Ryan has posted 20+ point performances his last two weeks against horrible Washington and Jets defenses. Coming off of a bye week, he faces off against another bad defense in the Miami Dolphins. Miami’s defense is 23rd against fantasy football quarterbacks and Ryan is easily good enough to at least get 18-20 points.

The most impressive thing about Matt Ryan before the bye week was his ability to get the job done even without his top target in Calvin Ridley. With Ridley returning to practice this week, Ryan has everything he needs to put up another solid performance. Rostered in 35% of leagues, Ryan is likely the best option for you at quarterback on the waiver wire.

Tua Tagovailoa | Miami Dolphins (vs ATL)

For as bad of a defense Miami has, Atlanta’s defense is even worse. Tua Tagovailoa came back from injury last week and played well against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Although Miami lost the game, Tua had 21 fantasy points and is primed to hit 20 points again. Atlanta doesn’t pose much of a challenge as the 28th defense against quarterbacks. Tua is rostered in just 27.2% of leagues and many are likely waiting to see how he holds up.

Tua may not be a very good passer, but his ability as a runner is what sets him apart from other quarterbacks. Even if he is struggling, he’ll be able to put up some good numbers. Although Tua’s consistency has been a cause for concern, in his two games completely healthy, he averages just over 18 points per game. That is plenty good enough this week and even better against this Atlanta defense.

Mac Jones | New England Patriots (vs NYJ)

Mac Jones has been a tough guy to read this season, as he has only averaged 13 fantasy points per game. In fairness to Jones, the Patriots refuse to throw deep and they are much happier to simply run the ball. Jones is rostered in 15.1% of leagues and is fantasy football QB26 so far. The first time he played the Jets this season, Jones only had seven fantasy points.

Although all that information would scare normal fantasy players, we’re smarter than them. You’re smarter than them. Jones completed over 73 percent of his passes and didn’t turn the ball over the entire game. Although he didn’t hit the end zone, it’s safe to say that he will see some progression in production against this Jets team. He isn’t anything close to a fun or flashy play, but he should do more than enough to get the job done. Seeing that Jones nearly beat the Cowboys and Buccaneers already, he should be a safe bet against the Jets.
