When it comes to fantasy football streamers, the defense/special teams position is always one to monitor. In fact, many owners opt to intentionally stream the position all season long, playing positive matchups over drafting a highly-regarded unit. For those looking to do just that starting in Week 7, this article will have some solid options for you. Don’t forget there are six teams on a bye this week (BUF, DAL, LAC, PIT, JAX, MIN), making a streaming option that much more appealing but also stressful.

Read on for three D/ST fantasy football streamers that are worth consideration for Week 7.

Defenses must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the Week 7 fantasy football D/ST streamers column. All ownerships for players will be provided and will reflect that of Wednesday morning, once waivers are processed.

Week 7 Fantasy Football D/ST Streamers

Atlanta Falcons at MIA (6.4%)

I fully expect this game to be very underwhelming because it’s between two underwhelming teams on both sides of the ball. Miami can’t figure it out on offense and just lost to the Jaguars, who previously lost 20 straight games beforehand. The Falcons defense isn’t flashy in the slightest, forcing only two turnovers and getting to the opposing quarterback only eight times this year. But with so many teams on a bye this week, they are a fine streaming option to hopefully get fantasy managers some points. Defenses facing Miami have scored an average of 7.9 fantasy points per game (FPPG).

Green Bay Packers vs. WSH (45.8%)

The Green Bay defense hasn’t been amazing, but it gets the job done, and usually allows less than 30 points per game. With so many teams on a bye, the Packers will likely be one of the top streaming options under 50 percent ownership because they’re facing an underwhelming Washington offense led by a mediocre quarterback in Taylor Heinicke. Washington is usually able to generate a decent amount of points based on the raw talent in most areas, but Green Bay has been able to hold under three of six opponents under 20 points this season and it could very easily happen again this week.

Miami Dolphins vs. ATL (19.1%)

This is almost the exact same situation as streaming the Falcons defense this week and, ironically, they play each other. Both offenses are underwhelming and Miami’s defense was near elite last season but haven’t had that same thunder this year. Atlanta’s offense is full of pure talent players but hasn’t generated a lot of offense. Opposing defenses facing the Falcons score an average of 8.0 FPPG and the Dolphins are bound to force a turnover or two. This game likely won’t be high-scoring by any means and if you’re looking for a sneaky streamer with low ownership to replace one of the six teams on a bye, Miami could generate solid fantasy points.
