Fantasy Football Week 6 WR Streamers

As Week 5 of the season wrapped up, there were plenty of players out with injury, which may leave your fantasy football rosters looking a little different and potentially weaker. While it’s hard to bench your fantasy studs you drafted before the season began, the option of streaming players off the waiver wire could bode well for your success in your fantasy football league. It is always a better decision to weigh your options and play the player with a much better matchup than start the same guy every week hoping for a breakout game.

Read on for three fantasy football wide receiver “streamer” options for Week 6. Despite having late-round ADPs, these players have a great chance to carve out a bigger role moving forward, especially with the number of wide receivers still dealing with injuries and are on a bye week this week like Deebo Samuel, Calvin Ridley, and Corey Davis.

Players must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the Week 6 fantasy football wide receiver streamers column. All ownerships for players will be provided and will reflect that of Wednesday morning, once waivers are processed.

Week 6 Fantasy Football WR Streamers

Amon-Ra St. Brown | Detroit Lions vs CIN (6.5%)

Amon-Ra St. Brown certainly won’t be a top streaming option this week due to his team’s poor offense and the fact that he’s only recently emerged as a viable option in fantasy football, but there is some serious upside there this week against Cincinnati. He’s been targeted eight times in the last two games and seems to be developing some chemistry with Jared Goff on a team that has barely any depth at the wide receiver position. He led the team in snaps, tied with Kalif Raymond, logging 68.7%. The Bengals are allowing nearly 40 fantasy points per game (FPPG) to opposing wide receivers. They also will likely be able to score against the Lions’ defense, forcing Goff to throw more and hopefully find St. Brown for the first touchdown of his career.

Kadarius Toney | New York Giants vs LAR (47.4%)

After barely being utilized through the first three games despite being a first-round pick, Kadarius Toney is proving why the Giants used that pick on him. He’s been targeted 21 times and caught 16 of those the past two games, including a fantasy explosion of 29.2 fantasy points against Dallas before being ejected late in the game. The Giants have injuries all over the place on offense and it’s only a matter of time before Toney is the primary source of yardage and points. He logged 37 snaps total against the Cowboys, trailing only John Ross, yet still caught 10 balls for 189 yards. The Rams’ defense is certainly no joke but has looked underwhelming the last few games, especially the secondary which is surrendering 39.8 FPPG to opposing wide receivers thus far.

Tim Patrick | Denver Broncos vs LV (35.2%)

Tim Patrick’s ownership has fluctuated quite a bit the last few weeks, and that’s in part to his lack of explosive games and that Jerry Jeudy could be returning the next week or so. But, his upside and consistency shouldn’t go unnoticed. Despite catching back-to-back touchdowns in Weeks 1 and 2, Patrick hasn’t caught once since, but he has seen his targets increase a bit each game. He caught 7-of-9 targets for 89 yards last week against the Steelers and has nearly eclipsed 100 yards receiving in two of his last three games. I’ve included him in most of my streamer articles this year, and that’s because if you’re streaming wide receivers, you want consistent points that will act as a nice plug-in for a guy on a bye week or who is injured. Patrick also out-snapped Courtland Sutton last week by three snaps, logging 94.9% total.
