The fourth week of the fantasy football season is in the books. When it comes to fantasy football streamers, the defense/special teams position is always one to monitor consistently on the waiver wire. In deep formats, it can be hard to find a defense that returns a solid value, which is why many fantasy owners opt to intentionally stream the position all season long, playing positive matchups over drafting a highly-regarded unit. For those looking to do just that, read on for three fantasy football Week 5 defense streamers that are worth consideration.

Minnesota Vikings vs CHI (29.4%)
You almost never want to start the Minnesota Vikings DST in fantasy football because they simply allow too many points, but they’re facing the Chicago Bears. The old strategy to play the defense facing the Jets has turned into this one and it works. The Bears offense is terrible and Justin Fields has 32 completions through four full games. It wouldn’t be surprising to see multiple turnovers and at least three or four sacks on Fields.

Denver Broncos vs IND (38.7%)
As bad as the Denver Broncos offense has looked, at least the defense has been very good. The Indianapolis Colts have just been terrible this season, and it’s possible Jonathan Taylor misses this matchup. Matt Ryan turns the ball over too much and the play-calling has been interesting and confusing. If Taylor is out, the Broncos might be one of the best streaming options this week but should still force mistakes out of Ryan.
Miami Dolphins at NYJ (43.8%)
I don’t love this choice this week because the Miami Dolphins defense is really not that good, but they should be able to force mistakes out of Zach Wilson. The Jets’ offensive line has struggled to protect the quarterback, so it’s likely the Dolphins defensive line will give Wilson fits all game and certainly force a fumble or interception in the process. They’re already rostered at 43.8 percent ownership so they aren’t a sleeper option but good enough nonetheless.
