When it comes to fantasy football streamers, the defense/special teams position is always one to monitor. In fact, many owners opt to intentionally stream the position all season long, playing positive matchups over drafting a highly-regarded unit. For those looking to do just that starting in Week 5, this article will have some solid options for you.
Read on for three D/ST fantasy football streamers that are worth consideration for Week 5.

Week 5 Fantasy Football D/ST Streamers
Tennessee Titans at JAX (48.0%)
Well, last week didn’t necessarily go as planned with my recommendation of the Tennessee Titans as a streamer against the miserable New York Jets offense, as they lost in overtime, but they have a chance to redeem themselves here against Jacksonville. Opposing defenses average about 8.5 fantasy points per game when facing the Jaguars this season, and with the Urban Meyer drama brewing, the team may be very distracted this week. Tennessee doesn’t have many strengths on defense this year, but rookie QB Trevor Lawrence is still adjusting to the NFL level and could make more mistakes. It’s a divisional game so, hopefully, the Titans play a bit tougher than they did last week against the Jets. Their ownership already jumped up nearly 36 percent since waivers were processed, so it seems many fantasy football managers are taking this route.
Dallas Cowboys vs. NYG (30.6%)
The Dallas Cowboys defense has looked significantly better than they did last season and has forced many turnovers through four games thus far, mainly because of CB Trevon Diggs. We’ve all seen the Giants choke more than one game already this year due to inconsistency on offense, and it’s possible the Cowboys’ pass rush and secondary could fluster Daniel Jones enough to make some mistakes. Dallas was pretty much dominating the Panthers last week until they scored twice late, adding an extra 14 points to allow 28 points total. Dallas is currently the 10th-ranked fantasy defense this season and I expect that to climb, considering how many turnovers they have been able to force.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. CHI (28.6%)
The Raiders haven’t been able to produce many splash plays on defense the last two weeks, which certainly limits their fantasy football output, but the upside is there this week facing rookie QB Justin Fields. Opposing defenses facing the Bears offense have averaged about 9.0 fantasy points through four games and that’s mainly because of their questionable offensive play-calling and shotty quarterback play. The Bears recently lost David Montgomery for at least four weeks due to injury, so the running game shouldn’t be as much of a threat. Las Vegas was dominated by Justin Herbert and company in Week 4, but they should be able to bounce back against an inefficient Bears offense this week.
