Fantasy Football Week 4 RB Streamers
Braelon Allen Fantasy Outlook (38%)
The New York Jets drafted Braelon Allen with the 134th pick out of Wisconsin, and he’s immediately impacted the offense alongside Breece Hall. After finishing as the RB7 in Week 2, Allen finished as the RB22 in Week 3. He rushed for 55 yards on 11 carries to go along with three catches for 13 yards on three targets.
Allen wouldn’t normally be included among the fantasy football streamers, and he should probably be rostered in your league regardless, but the Jets are 6.5-point favorites at home against the Denver Broncos this week. With a proven volume floor and what’s likely to be a good game script for Jets RBs, Braelon Allen is startable if you’re in a pinch at RB this week.
Rico Dowdle Fantasy Outlook (39%)
Rico Dowdle has had exactly the type of season you would expect out of a committee running back, finishing as the RB42, 35 and 30 in consecutive weeks. But with a matchup against the New York Giants in Week 4, who have allowed the 10th-most opponent rushing yards per game, Dowdle has a chance at his first big game of the year.
The Dallas Cowboys have historically had success against the Giants in the Dak Prescott era (Dak is 10-0 against the Giants in their last 10 meetings), and this game sets up well as a bounce-back spot for Dallas against a Giants team that just grabbed their first win of the season. I expect Dallas to be playing from ahead for most of this game, and see a clear path for Dowdle to finish with a streamer-worthy performance.
Roschon Johnson Fantasy Outlook (4%)
Roschon Johnson finished Week 3 with eight rushes for 30 yards to go along with four catches for 32 yards. He was targeted five times. This was Johnson’s first action of the season, and he flat-out outplayed D’Andre Swift.
With a matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on tap for Week 4, who have allowed the third-most opponent rushing yards per game this season, I’m interested in Johnson’s prospects as a sneaky fantasy football streamers option. The Bear’s offense is looking for answers, and are three-point favorites in a home game that they need to win. Don’t be surprised if Roschon Johnson has gained the trust of this Bears coaching staff, and we see that on display Sunday.
