Fantasy Football Week 4 Defense Streamers Include Tennessee Titans

League-wide parity has been fully displayed through the first three weeks of the NFL season. Parity in the sense that the number of high-quality teams, quarterbacks, offensive lines and coaches is severely lacking. With so much mediocrity, one could argue that utilizing a fantasy football streamers approach for the defense position is an extremely beneficial strategy. By playing the matchups intelligently, fantasy managers can maximize their production at the D/ST position each week.

Pick the right fantasy football streamer option to get the win this week and continue down the path of fantasy greatness, which ends with you hoisting your league’s trophy, championship belt or champ chain. Without further ado, here are our top D/ST streamers and best positional matchups for Week 4.

Fantasy Football Week 4 Defense Streamers

Tennessee Titans (28.3%)

Call me a sucker if you wish, but we are going to give the Titans another chance as a fantasy football defense streamers candidate in Week 4. Tennessee may be winless through the first three weeks of the season, but it is by no means the defense’s fault. Yes, it was an underwhelming effort in last week’s loss to Malik Willis and the Green Bay Packers. That said, the Titans have registered multiple sacks in each game and also have allowed the third-fewest passing yards per game.

Since we must assume that Levis will gift-wrap the Miami Dolphins with at least one turnover on Monday night, it’s clear that the Titans defense will have to step up if this team is to enter its Week 5 bye on a positive note. The matchup is promising in that it will either be a banged-up Skylar Thompson or Miami newcomer Tyler Huntley playing QB for the Dolphins. The quarterback situation combined with the Dolphins’ weak O-line favors Tennessee’s front seven.

Chicago Bears (37.0%)

While the Bears’ putrid offense has been getting all sorts of attention, the defense has been somewhat flying under the radar. Truth be told, the unit has actually been quite solid through the first three weeks, and perhaps even more so on the fantasy front. Chicago has forced six turnovers and has recorded seven sacks to date. A pair of D/ST touchdowns courtesy of Will Levis and the aforementioned Titans in Week 1 resulted in a massive fantasy output.

The Bears enter Week 4 ranked fifth in fantasy scoring at the D/ST position. Chicago quietly ranks seventh in terms of fewest passing yards allowed and has been average against the run. The defense hasn’t allowed more than 21 points to date. A matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4 holds plenty of promise. Despite their improbable win last week, the Rams are still thinned by injuries along the O-line and at the skill position.

Las Vegas Raiders (31.4%)

Fun fact: the Raiders made a poor decision hiring Antonio Pierce as their head coach this offseason. Things may very well fall completely off the rails in Sin City this season. I can’t blame managers for being hesitant to pursue the Raiders as a fantasy football defense streamers option after watching Andy Dalton light them up a week ago. However, this could be about as strong a matchup as any for Las Vegas’ talented defensive front.

The Raiders will welcome the Cleveland Browns into Allegiant Stadium this week. Through three games, Deshaun Watson has been sacked a whopping 16 times, including eight last week against a very average New York Giants outfit. The Browns have been dealing with injuries along the offensive line, but Watson and the play-calling also aren’t helping matters. Maxx Crosby, Christian Wilkins and the rest of the Raiders’ pass rushers ought to be licking their chops in this matchup.
