With Week 2 in the books, injuries, bad luck and all cons that come with fantasy football have happened. Fantasy managers are now beginning to scout out waiver wire gems that could turn into potential fantasy football Week 3 RB streamers. The running backs on the waiver wire will likely be scarce in deep formats, but injuries happen and those potential streaming options will surface over time.

If streaming your RB2 or flex spot is your plan this season, read on for three fantasy football Week 3 RB streamers that are worth the look.

Players must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the fantasy football Week 3 RB streamers column. All ownerships for players will be provided and will reflect that of Wednesday morning, once waivers are processed.

Fantasy Football Week 2 RB Streamers

J.D. McKissic Fantasy Outlook vs. PHI (43.0%)

The Washington Commanders’ passing game has been surprising, but that means the pass catchers are benefiting and posting solid fantasy numbers. J.D. McKissic has never really been a true running back because he is a pure receiving threat out of the backfield. That has been evident through the first two games. He’s caught all 10 of his targets so far. In a matchup against the high-powered Philadelphia Eagles, he will surely be utilized a ton. The Eagles are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to opposing running backs.

Khalil Herbert Fantasy Outlook vs. HOU (26.7%)

Although he’s been relatively quiet so far this season, I really do like Khalil Herbert’s fantasy football upside. The Chicago Bears offense is a disaster right now, but a small bright spot has been Herbert’s production with such little use. He’s averaging 6.4 yards per carry so far despite not receiving double-digit touches in either game. If the Bears’ offense is ever going to hum, it will be against the Houston Texans. The Texans allow 21.4 FPPG to opposing running backs so far and, although it’s a risk to choose Herbert, his production on barely any use is impressive.

Kenneth Gainwell Fantasy Outlook at WAS (24.2%)

It is hard to trust Philadelphia Eagles running backs simply because it’s a committee and there’s no true RB1, but Kenneth Gainwell is the best fit for a high-powered passing offense. Gainwell will almost never lead the backfield in carries unless injuries start to take a toll, but with Jalen Hurts looking significantly better already, the pass catchers will too. Due to the number of pass catchers, Gainwell has only seen six targets in two games, but we’ve seen flashes of what he can do and this could end up being a good game with lots of scoring.
