Fantasy football is officially back and Week 1 is in the books! When it comes to the tight end position, fantasy managers either aim for an elite tight end or they look for fantasy football streamers on the waiver wire. Streaming a tight end each week can be a nightmare because the position is essentially a wasteland more often than not, aside from the usual top options. However, if you’ve taken this route this year, read on for three fantasy football Week 2 streamers at TE that are worth your consideration.
Players must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the fantasy football Week 2 TE streamers column. All ownerships for players will be provided and will reflect that of Wednesday morning, once waivers are processed.
Fantasy Football Week 2 TE Streamers
Gerald Everett Fantasy Streamer at KC (23.8%)
The Gerald Everett fantasy football potential is high, due to playing on a good offense. It’s clear the Los Angeles Chargers have one of the highest-powered offenses in the league, but they experience frequent injuries to their wide receiver room. Everett saw only four targets last week, but he’s always been a red zone threat. With Keenan Allen likely to be inactive, Justin Herbert will surely look to Everett quite a bit in fantasy football Week 2.
I’d be confident locking Everett this week, playing in a high-potential game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Albert Okwuegbunam Fantasy Streamer vs. HOU (24.6%)
Albert Okwuegbunam didn’t see a fair target share compared to the rest of the Broncos offense, but it is promising to see six targets in his first game with Russell Wilson. Tight ends won’t give you monster fantasy points aside from your usual guys, so target share is what you should be looking for. Albert O heads into this matchup as the fourth option in the passing game, but that should increase as the Broncos figure it out. Houston allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to opposing tight ends in 2021.

Hayden Hurst Fantasy Streamer at DAL (21.5%)
It was a quiet fantasy performance last week for Hayden Hurst, and it seems most fantasy managers are not sold on him yet considering his ownership only jumped about three percent. Hurst plays in a very high-powered Bengals offense. With Tee Higgins concussed and likely out, he could see even more work. He saw eight targets last week but failed to find the end zone or surpass 50 yards. Dallas looks terrible on both sides of the ball. It’s likely Joe Burrow and company expose them.
