Week 1 is in the books, and boy was it a wild week. When it comes to fantasy football Week 2 streamers, the defense/special teams position is always one to monitor consistently on the waiver wire. In deep formats, it can be hard to find a defense that returns a solid value, which is why many fantasy owners opt to intentionally stream the position all season long, playing positive matchups over drafting a highly-regarded unit.
For those looking to do just that, read on for three fantasy football Week 2 defense streamers that are worth consideration.
Defenses must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the fantasy football Week 2 defense streamers column. All ownerships for defenses will be provided and will reflect that of Wednesday morning, once waivers are processed.
Week 2 Fantasy Football Defense Streamers
Cleveland Browns vs. NYJ (48.9%)
The way of streaming defenses the last few years has been to pick the defense facing the New York Jets. The Jets still look terrible on offense and will surely struggle to contain the Browns pass rush. Cleveland gave Baker Mayfield fits last week and it will be near the same outcome with Joe Flacco. At just under 50 percent ownership, the Cleveland Browns are still available in too many leagues for a fantasy football Week 2 double-digit performance.

Cincinnati Bengals at DAL (47.4%)
The Cincinnati Bengals looked out of sorts on both sides of the ball last week against Pittsburgh. However, they shouldn’t have the same problems against Dallas. The Dallas Cowboys lost Dak Prescott and apparently won’t make a move on a QB, so they’re stuck with Cooper Rush. He will make mistakes and likely force some throws. So, the upside for a solid double-digit fantasy football Week 2 performance from CIN is there.
Denver Broncos vs. HOU (31.7%)
The hype for Denver coming into this season fell down to Earth after losing to the Seahawks. Still, their defense is put together and will figure it out. I would say they have the easiest matchup this week against Houston, but you could argue Seattle is a better matchup. The pass rush should be able to fluster Davis Mills, helping to force turnovers.
