If the trade deadline in your league hasn’t passed already, it likely will this week. If you weren’t able to improve your fantasy football backfield, you’ll need some help as the playoffs are rapidly approaching. With the bye weeks of Arizona and Kansas City this week, there may not be many options left for you at certain positions. As always, it’s time to turn to the waiver wire. If you once again don’t have a good priority or need other players first, we have your back for players that are flying under the radar.

Read on for three RB fantasy football streamers that are worth consideration for Week 12. In some cases, one might still be able to claim these rushers off of waivers. In order to be included in the fantasy football RB streamers article, they must be rostered in less than 60 percent of ESPN leagues.

Fantasy Football Streamers | Week 12 RBs

Devonta Freeman | Baltimore Ravens (vs CLE)

Devonta Freeman had been a serviceable option for Baltimore heading into last week’s matchup against the Chicago Bears. Many were interested to see how the carries were split with the return of Latavius Murray, however. Early on in the game, it was pretty evident which guy was the top dog in the backfield. Freeman is rostered in 33.9% of leagues and received 16 carries to Murray’s 10. On top of that, Freeman hauled in six receptions to Murray’s two.

Some of that success as a receiver can be attributed to Marquise Brown being out. It does still help paint a clear picture of the Ravens’ backfield. With Freeman getting the touchdown too last week, it’s clear that the Ravens are rolling with him. Take advantage of his availability and pick him up for a week in which he faces the Browns defense. Although they’re 11th overall against fantasy football running backs, they to be on the field often as Cleveland is struggling right now.

David Johnson | Houston Texans (vs NYJ)

David Johnson has been anything but special this year and has only scored in double-digits three times. With that in mind, the Texans did waive Phillip Lindsay, who has served as a thorn in the side of Johnson’s fantasy football value. Lindsay averaged five touches per game this season in 10 weeks. Johnson should be able to pick up his work in an improving Texans offense. With the return of quarterback Tyrod Taylor, the Texans’ offense should finally be good enough to run the ball.

Johnson is rostered in 26.9% of leagues, and he likely won’t be added in many more leagues throughout the week. Houston is so bad that nobody pays attention to their team. Use that to your advantage. Johnson had 16 touches last week for Houston. With Lindsay out, it wouldn’t be a shock to see Johnson get 20 or more this week. While Rex Burkhead had the majority of carries last week, Johnson had more of the receiving duties. That ability to play a role in both sides of the offense should prove valuable. In addition, he plays a Jets defense that is the worst defense against running backs in fantasy, making Johnson a sneaky streamer

Rhamondre Stevenson | New England Patriots (vs TEN)

With Damien Harris returning from injury on Thursday against the Atlanta Falcons, many were wondering how the touches would be split between him and Rhamondre Stevenson. In the end, the backfield looked like a pretty even 50/50 split. If you have Harris on your team, that’s bad news for you. If you have a chance to get Stevenson off of waivers, however, you have a great opportunity for a consistent flex play.

Rostered in 50.7% of fantasy football leagues, Stevenson provides exactly what Harris provided for much of the season, just with a slightly lower floor and ceiling. While both running backs were impressive in Atlanta, Stevenson was objectively the better back which should keep him seeing plenty of looks. With Tennessee on deck, the Patriots will need to rotate their backs plenty to keep them fresh in a “grind it out” type of game. Stevenson should see plenty of opportunities as a result and might even find the end zone.
