Historically, when only two teams are on bye, fantasy players don’t take much of a hit. With most positions, losing the Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs to bye is no big deal. For quarterbacks, however, there are going to be more than a few people looking to fill a hole left by losing their top quarterback. With the playoffs looming large, it’s time to buckle down and get a win. The first step to a fantasy football win is to figure out what you’re going to do at quarterback and we are here to help.

Read on for three QB fantasy football streamers that are worth consideration for Week 12. In some cases, one might still be able to claim these rushers off of waivers. In order to be included in the fantasy football RB streamers article, they must be rostered in less than 60 percent of ESPN leagues.

Fantasy Football Streamers | Week 12 QBs

Cam Newton | Carolina Panthers (at MIA)

Welcome back, Cam Newton. In his second game back with Carolina, Newton was electric, although he ultimately fell short of a win. In his first start for Carolina since 2019, Newton completed 21 of his 27 passes for just under 200 yards. His three total touchdowns helped him reach 20 fantasy points on the day. Rostered in 40.9% of fantasy football leagues, it’s clear plenty are waiting on more results from Newton before they entrust him with a roster spot.

This week, the Panthers face off against the Miami Dolphins. Miami is 25th against quarterbacks and Cam Newton should be able to take what he wants. Although Miami shut down Lamar Jackson and the Ravens just a couple of weeks ago, Cam isn’t Lamar. Say what you will about his abilities, but Newton is better at reading defenses and an overall smarter quarterback. As a result, Miami can’t just blitz him and go single coverage on the receivers. With their inability to stop quarterbacks outside of Lamar Jackson, Newton should be able to rack up the points this week.

Tyrod Taylor | Houston Texans (vs NYJ)

What do you get when you have a good matchup and a quarterback who rarely turns the ball over? Tyrod Taylor. While injuries have only allowed Taylor to play in four games this season, he’s been very good in three of them. Outside of one horrific outing against the Miami Dolphins, Taylor has combined for six touchdowns and zero turnovers. That number becomes even more impressive when you consider that Taylor was knocked out of the second half of one of those games due to injury.

Rostered in 5% of leagues, Taylor could very easily be a top-10 fantasy football quarterback this week. Not only does he play the Jets, who rank 22nd against quarterbacks, but he also plays in a game in which the Texans are the favorites. If we learned anything from his time with the Buffalo Bills, which was the last time he truly got a chance as a starter, it’s that he will not lose you games often. Against this Jets defense, all he has to do is not turn the ball over as the openings will be there. As long as he has a regular Tyrod Taylor game, he’ll be a great addition to any team this week.

Mac Jones | New England Patriots (vs TEN)

Mac Jones had a good matchup against the Atlanta Falcons last week and was his regular efficient self. Jones didn’t score many fantasy points, but he didn’t need to as the game plan was always going to revolve around the running game. This week, the Patriots will need Jones to show up. Mac Jones is a great fantasy football streamer option this week and is only rostered in 22.3% of leagues.

While Tennessee statistically is great against the running game, they are lackluster against the pass. The Titans are 28th against the pass and now have to face one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the league. As if that wasn’t enough, Jones rarely turns the ball over. The crowd at Foxborough is going to be electric and the Titans will do everything they can to shut down the Patriots rushing attack. Unfortunately for them, that means the game is Jones’ for the taking.
