When it comes to fantasy football streamers, the defense/special teams position is always one to monitor. In fact, many owners opt to intentionally stream the position all season long, playing positive matchups over drafting a highly-regarded unit. For those looking to do just that starting in Week 11, this article will have some solid options for you. Don’t forget there are two teams on a bye this week (DEN and LAR), making a streaming option that much more appealing but also less stressful than last week.

Read on for three D/ST fantasy football streamers that are worth consideration for Week 11.

Defenses must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the Week 11 fantasy football D/ST streamers column. All ownerships for players will be provided and will reflect that of Wednesday morning, once waivers are processed.

Week 11 Fantasy Football D/ST Streamers

Washington Football Team at CAR (26.6%)

The Washington Football Team was already an underperforming defense this season, and they just recently their best player, Chase Young, to a torn ACL. But, they did hold Tom Brady and the Bucs to just 19 points last week and face a pretty bad Carolina offense this week. The Panthers have both P.J. Walker and Cam Newton as the two quarterbacks on the roster, and they both tend to make plenty of mistakes. Washington’s secondary isn’t horrible by any means, so it’s possible they’re able to force a turnover or two this week. The pass rush and sacks will suffer without Young there, but others could step up. Defenses facing the Panthers this season average about 7.8 fantasy points per game (FPPG), so it’s a relatively safe play.

Miami Dolphins at NYJ (47.7%)

The Miami Dolphins’ defense has looked a bit more like the version from last season, posting 18 and 17 fantasy points in back-to-back games. This week, they’ll be facing one of the most underwhelming offenses in the league, led by Joe Flacco. The defense has forced six turnovers and totaled nine sacks over the past two weeks and, with how bad the Jets’ offensive line and quarterback play is, they should do the same this week. The Jets allow the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. PIT (4.8%)

This streaming option is definitely more of a deeper league consideration because of how inconsistent the Los Angeles Chargers defense has been all season. Nonetheless, they’re still a solid option if you’re struggling at the defense position. It is concerning to start the Chargers here because they have had some serious trouble stopping the run and the Steelers could thrive through running the ball. But if Big Ben is still out with COVID, Mason Rudolph will start. Keep in mind, the Steelers tied with the winless Detroit Lions last week in overtime. Opposing defenses that face the Steelers have scored 6.1 FPPG this season, which isn’t eye-opening, but it’s very possible a few turnovers can be forced in this game.
