Welcome back to the latest edition of the FlurrySports Fantasy Football Start or Sit article! By clicking in, that means that you were one of the survivors of last week’s bye-pocalypse. This week, things get a little easier, with only the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders on a bye. But that doesn’t make things any less scary, because in this special Halloween edition you will find a horror movie reference included in each recommendation as well.

This article is not here for the obvious plays, so if you have Cooper Kupp, Tyreek Hill or Stefon Diggs, you know what to do. This article will look at fantasy football WRs on the fringe of WR2/Flex status to help you make the tough choices to win your matchups.

Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 8 WRs

Start: Michael Pittman Jr. vs. Titans

Team Name: Aww Pitt Man

I love Michael Pittman Jr. this week if T.Y. Hilton sits, and even if he plays, Pittman will be a preferred play this week. Even with only four targets last week in terrible weather, Pittman was able to catch all of them for 105 yards and a touchdown. His targets have declined the last couple of weeks, but the matchup this week is as good as it gets. The Titans have given up 115 receptions on 174 targets for 1,583 yards to opposing WRs, all of which are the worst in the league. They have also given up 10 touchdowns to opposing WRs, which is tied for 28th. Get Pittman in your lineups, It makes perfect sense this weekend.

Start: Courtland Sutton vs. Football Team

Team Name: Courtland is in Session

The Broncos offense welcomes back Jerry Jeudy this weekend, but Courtland Sutton will be 1a for at least one more week and draws a matchup with the Football Team, who has allowed 112 receptions on 165 targets for 1,422 yards and 11 touchdowns, good for second-last in all four stats. Sutton has had two WR1 weeks in a row, with 25 and 23.4 fantasy points prior to last week’s letdown, but he will be back this week and put up WR2 or better numbers on Halloween.

Sit: Tee Higgins at Jets

Team Name: Long Island Iced Tee

Tee Higgins presents Us with quite the conundrum this week. On one hand, he has finished with double-digit fantasy points in all but one of his starts this season and is coming off a game where he was targeted 15 times by the emerging Joe Burrow. On the other hand, he has not finished as a WR2 in any game this year and the matchup is against a Jets team that has allowed only 67 receptions on 102 targets for 843 yards and three touchdowns, all of which are in the top three in the league. The Bengals are also favored by 10.5 points this week and very likely will be playing conservatively in the second half. While Higgins is tough to sit, he is not likely to finish as a WR2 this week.

Sit: Tyler Lockett vs. Jaguars

Team Name: I Lockett Alot

Another week without Russell Wilson, another two-catch game for Tyler Lockett, who has only put up two catches for 35 yards and two catches for 12 yards the last two weeks. In addition, he has not topped 57 receiving yards in the last five weeks and has only one double-digit fantasy point week during that time as well. The matchup this week is middle of the road, but you simply cannot have Lockett in your lineups until Russell Wilson comes back. If you are looking at starting Lockett this week, Get Out there on the waiver wire and find a better option.
