Week 6 is here and with it the first week of byes to navigate through, as the Falcons, Saints, Jets and 49ers all are off this week. With these, you may have to begin to use some of your bench depth. And as a reminder, this article is not here for the obvious plays, so if you have Austin Ekeler, Christian McCaffrey, or Derrick Henry you know what to do. This article will look at fantasy football RBs on the fringe of RB2/Flex status to help you make the tough choices.
Welcome back to our weekly fantasy football start or sit article and our ever-popular player-based fantasy team names, just in case you are interested in creating a hip new image for your team.

Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 6 RBs
Start: Myles Gaskin at Jaguars
Team Name: Gaskin for a Friend
Are you a glass half full person or a glass half empty person? On one hand, Myles Gaskin only had five carries last week for 25 yards. On the other, he caught 10-of-10 targets for 74 yards and two touchdowns. If you are scoring at home, that is 31.9 fantasy points against a tough Buccaneers run defense. This week, the matchup is on the other end of the spectrum against the Jaguars, who are giving up 28 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing RBs. If you take that type of volume against Jacksonville, that equals an RB2 finish for Gaskin this week.
Start: Zack Moss at Titans
Team Name: Uno Moss, Por Favor!
The RB16 on a per-game basis, averaging 12.5 fppg, Zack Moss has finishes of RB15, RB15, RB24 and RB26 after being declared a surprise inactive Week 1. Last week, Moss played 73.7% of snaps, compared to Devin Singletary’s 26.3%, and he had 14 touches compared to seven for Singletary. This week, he gets a matchup with the Titans, who are giving up an unimposing 22.5 fppg to opposing RBs. With another 14-16 touches as a baseline in a good matchup, Moss is an RB2 this week.

Sit: Seattle RBs at Steelers
Team Name: Dude, Where’s My Carson?
This goes for both Chris Carson, if he plays, and Alex Collins, as the entire Seahawks offense takes a hit with Russell Wilson out for an extended period with an injured finger. Not only that, but the matchup this week is tough, with the Steelers who give up only 16.3 fppg to opposing RBs and not having given up a touchdown to an RB yet this year. Last week, Collins got the full workload when Carson was out and he put up a meager 47 yards on 15 carries and another 25 yards on two receptions. Now, especially if both backs are possibly active in a tough matchup without Wilson, both belong on benches for the week.
Sit: Devontae Booker vs. Rams
Team Name: By Hook or By Book
It is always tough to acquire a new free agent and then turn around and sit them the next weekend, but that is the recommendation here. Last week, with Saquon Barkley going down with an ankle injury, Devontae Booker got all of the work he could handle and was able to finish RB15 on the strength of his two touchdowns. He also carried the ball 15 times for 42 yards with three receptions for 16 yards added in. The Giants offense has injuries all over the place and, in a tough matchup with the Rams who allow only 24.4 fppg to opposing RBs, Booker is best left on benches this week.
