Two weeks down and we have another week of games in the books with more analysis and data to help us identify new trends. If you have a Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook or Derrick Henry on your roster, you already know what to do. If you don’t and have to make a tough choice, this is the place to be for those tough fantasy football start or sit decisions in PPR leagues.

Welcome to our weekly fantasy football RB start or sit, and back by popular demand is a team name suggestion with each player as well. Good luck this week!

Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 3 RBs

    Start: Ty’Son Williams

    Team Name: Ty’Sons Feeding You

Ty’Son Williams was mentioned in Week 1 in my Twitter update, and again last week where he finished RB23. Playing in an offense that runs the ball over 55% of the time with a growing role, this past week he out-touched Latavius Murray 15-9 after narrowly edging him out 12-10 in Week 1. He is teetering on becoming an every-week start.

This week, he gets a matchup with the Lions, who are giving up a robust 37.4 fppg to opposing RBs. Start him this week again and, if his workload continues to grow, we are looking at an RB2 for the remainder of the year.

    Start: Chase Edmonds at Jaguars

    Team Name: High Speed Chase

After two games, Chase Edmonds is the RB20 in PPR despite only carrying the ball 20 times compared to James Conner’s 24. However, he is on the field for 64% of the snaps in comparison to Conner who is closer to 39%. Edmonds has added on an additional four and five receptions the last two weeks, and this week he gets a matchup with the Jaguars, who are allowing 26.9 fppg to opposing RBs. This matchup will be all systems go for the Cardinals, and you can confidently start Edmonds as an RB2. Even Conner makes for a flex play this week.

    Sit: James Robinson vs. Cardinals

Team Name: Koo Koo Kachoo Miss Robinson

Last week, James Robinson was featured in this same spot of the article and lived up to, or is it down to(?), his lowly billing, putting up a meager 9.4 PPR points. He did put to rest some concern of the split backfield with Carlos Hyde by out-touching him 14-2 and playing 73% of the snaps compared to Hyde’s 25%, but this running game is not one that I want a part of.

The Jaguars will be playing catch-up a lot this season and certainly will this week against the Cardinals. With Robinson only receiving under an 11% target share despite trailing for much of the first two games, there is not enough here to start him with any sort of confidence.

Sit: Devin Singletary vs. The Football Team

    Team Name: All the Singletarys

After finishes of RB29 in Week 1 and RB11 last week, Devin Singletary is off to a productive start to the season. He has accomplished this on 14 and 15 touches and is averaging 6.4 yards per carry (ypc), although he did crack off a 46-yarder in Week 1 that, when taken out of the equation brings, him closer to his career ypc.

This week, in a matchup with The Football Team and their D, which is allowing only 13.9 fppg to opposing RBs, look for Singletary to finish outside of RB2 range. Consider other options instead.
