Week 14 is here, and with it, the last week of the season for many fantasy football leagues. Whether you are still jockeying for position or fighting for your playoff life, you have come to the right place for your fantasy football start or sit questions.

This week, the Colts, Dolphins, Patriots and Eagles are all on bye, so you might be scrambling to replace some of your best players. This article is not here for the obvious plays, so if you Cooper Kupp, Davante Adams or Justin Jefferson, you know what to do. Instead, we will look at fantasy football RBs on the fringe of WR2/Flex status to help you make the tough choices to win your matchups. Let’s get to it!

Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 14 WRs

Start: Chase Claypool at Vikings

Team Name: The Chase is on

Chase Claypool has been a little hit or miss this season, with several quiet weeks. This includes last week’s two catches for 52 yards and a carry for another couple of yards. With the exception of three weeks, he has managed to hit double-digit fantasy points, so he typically hasn’t destroyed your lineup. This week, he has a great opportunity to rebound against the Vikings, who are giving up 41.9 fantasy points per game (fppg) on the season, and this has increased to 45.3 over the last four weeks. If you need a high upside WR2 this week, get Claypool in your lineup.

Start: Elijah Moore vs. Saints

Team Name: Elijah the Prophet

Since the Jets bye in Week 6, Elijah Moore has finished with double-digit fantasy football points in every game but one, with three WR1 weeks and two on the fringe WR2 territory. He has managed to do this while working with no less than four different QBs over this stretch (Mike White, Josh Johnson, Joe Flacco and Zach Wilson). This week, in a matchup against the Saints who have given up 2,195 yards passing to opposing WRs on the season and an average of 38.4 fppg, Moore has a chance at another WR1 game while his floor has been safe as well. Get him in your lineup this week.

Sit: Brandin Cooks vs. Seahawks

Team Name: Name Brandin Jeans

After starting out the season with three straight double-digit PPR efforts, Brandin Cooks has only hit that threshold in two of the last nine games. It looks like Davis Mills will get the start this week, but even if it is Tyrod Taylor at the helm, Cooks is a Flex play at best and not a WR2. The Seahawks defense has been improving against opposing WRs, or teams are just choosing to run on them, and have only given up 25.7 fppg over their last four games. If you are without Michael Pittman, Jaylen Waddle or DeVonta Smith this week, you may be short of options. Still, the ceiling here is not very high and neither is the floor.

Sit: All WRs Chargers vs. Giants

Team Name: Guyton the Bottom of it

At the time of this writing, it looks as though Keenan Allen and Mike Williams both may miss Week 14 due to COVID, which makes Jalen Guyton and Joshua Palmer the likely starters for the Chargers in a plus fantasy football matchup against the Giants who are giving up 35.9 fppg on the season to opposing WRs. Now, if this is the case, both of these guys make fine DFS punt plays, but as a WR2 with the playoffs on the line, you can’t do it. On the other side of the ball, Jake Fromm looks likely to be the starter this week for the Giants. The Chargers are only giving up 29.3 fppg to opposing WRs. With a rookie QB making his first start, leave your Giants WRs on the bench as well.
