Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 10 RBs

Start: James Conner vs. Panthers

Team Name: Conner His Memory

James Conner has been on an absolute tear, with six touchdowns in the last three games, including last week’s explosion of 21 carries for 96 yards and another five receptions for 77 yards and three touchdowns. With Chase Edmonds out for the next several weeks with a high ankle sprain, Conner is set to receive all of the work he can handle until he returns. The Panthers have been tough on opposing RBs, only allowing 19 fantasy points per game (fppg). Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins are both questionable to play this week, but Conner remains a must-start, as he will be an RB1 until Edmonds returns in several weeks.

Start: Devin Singletary at Jets

Team Name: Stairway to Devin

With Zack Moss exiting early last week due to a concussion, Devin Singletary made the most of his opportunity and put up 12.9 fantasy points in a game the Bills only scored six points. This week, with Moss being questionable to play, the Bills have a Vegas implied total of 31 and are favored by 13.5 against the Jets. As long as Moss is out, Singletary makes a solid RB2 play against the Jets who are allowing a league-worst 39.2 fppg to opposing RBs, which is nearly 10 full fantasy football points more than the next closest team. Monitor Moss’s health, and if he is out, get Singletary in your lineup.

Sit: Antonio Gibson vs. Buccaneers

Team Name: GibSons of Anarchy

In the last three games before the Football Team’s bye, Antonio Gibson was only able to put up 6.4, 7.6 and 8.4 fantasy points. He has been hobbled by a stress fracture in his shin, which he has been trying to play through, but he’s giving up increasing work to J.D. McKissic and Jaret Patterson. The bye week has given him time to rest, but now he gets a matchup with the Buccaneers who have given up only 447 yards and two touchdowns on the ground this season. The best approach with Gibson is to wait and see if he returns to a larger workload or if he will continue to split the backfield work. Leave him on the bench this week.

Sit: Titans RBs vs. Saints

Team Name: AP Style Guide

The Titans backfield post-Derrick Henry was led by Adrian Peterson, who had 10 carries for 21 yards and a touchdown while adding a reception for five yards. D’Onta Foreman actually lead the team in rushing yards, with 29, on his five carries, and Jeremy McNichols chipped in with seven carries for 24 yards and three receptions for 11 yards. Unfortunately, this backfield looks like it might be a timeshare situation where there may not be a clear-cut lead back. This week, in a tough matchup against the Saints who have allowed 19.2 fppg and a league-low 425 yards to opposing RBs, leave all three on the bench.
