Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 10 QBs

Start: Derek Carr vs. Chiefs

Team Name: How Fast Does this Carr Go?

Last week was one of Derek Carr’s worst games of the season, but this week, look for him to right the ship. He has a great matchup on deck with the Chiefs, who are giving up 21.9 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing QBs, and that was even after holding Jordan Love to only 12.9 last week. Carr, who is the QB14 by fppg, is having the best year of his career and has fared very well against the Chiefs in their most recent matchups, with 29.5 and 26.4 fantasy points in their two meetings last season. This week, Derek Carr makes a solid fantasy football QB1 so get him in your lineup.

Start: Carson Wentz vs. Jaguars

Team Name: From Wentz You Came

Right behind Derek Carr at QB15 in fppg is Carson Wentz, who has now thrown two or more touchdowns in his last six games and is currently riding a three-game streak with three touchdowns per game. This week, he gets a matchup with the Jaguars who are coming off of their best game of the season, a 9-6 win over the Bills, and are due for a let down this week. They are giving up 19.3 fppg to opposing QBs on the season, which is in the bottom third of the league. Wentz has a great shot at extending his multiple touchdowns streak at home and makes for a very solid QB1 play.

Sit: Mike White vs. Bills

Team Name: White Collar Crime

The pride of the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers program has had quite a start to his playing career, putting up 702 yards passing and five touchdown passes, albeit with four interceptions, in only seven quarters. That’s right, he is averaging roughly 100 yards passing per quarter! Now this week, in a matchup against the Bills who are giving up only 11.1 fppg to opposing QBs, is not the time to press your luck. This is a watch and see game and, if he does well this week, he is very much on the radar as a streaming option over the following two weeks.

Sit: All QBs in the Browns vs. Patriots Game

Team Name: Return of the Mac

If you are without Joe Burrow or possibly Daniel Jones this week, you may be looking for a streamer. If your eyes have settled on this game, keep right on going. Starting with the Browns, Baker Mayfield was a QB1 last week for the first time in three weeks and the second time all year, but the Patriots are only giving up 14.4 fppg to opposing QBs. Don’t look for him to make it two straight. When the Patriots have the ball, Mac Jones will have to deal with the Browns’ pass rush, which is third in the league, averaging three sacks per game. He also could possibly be without his top two running backs and Jonnu Smith. You can do better than both this week.
