Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 8 WRs
Start: Jaylen Waddle Fantasy Outlook vs Arizona Cardinals
We finally see a player on the Miami Dolphins on the right side of this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article. Jaylen Waddle is a start for us at FlurrySports this week. Tua Tagovailoa returns for the first time since Week 2. The unfortunate part is that the offense runs through Tua. Waddle and Tyreek Hill’s fantasy points were abysmal with Tua out of action. He will help boost Waddle and Hill this week.
On the flip side of the ball, we have the Arizona Cardinals. Last week, they beat the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football. The Cardinals will have one less day to prepare for the Dolphins. The Cardinals have also given up the seventh-most fantasy points to WRs in the seven games they have played this season. Waddle should be a good pick for your lineup this week.
Start: George Pickens Fantasy Outlook vs New York Giants
The second-year WR out of Georgia will be a good start for your team in Week 8. George Pickens had a good game against the New York Jets last week, scoring 23.1 points with the Pittsburgh Steelers’ debut of Russell Wilson. Pickens enjoyed playing against one of the NY teams and will get to play the other this Monday.
The New York Giants will try to stop the Steelers offense this week. The Giants as a whole have done a good job at containing WRs, but WR1s have done a good job at scoring. The WR1 has an average of 16+ points against the Giants this season. Deonte Banks should be getting exposed by the Steelers WR1 on Monday Night Football.

Sit: Diontae Johnson Fantasy Outlook vs Denver Broncos
Speaking of the Steelers, the former Pittsburgh Steeler should not be in your lineup this week. Diontae Johnson has had an up-and-down season this year and, with everything happening this week, the downhill will continue on this roller coaster. Andy Dalton will not start on Sunday due to an injury to his thumb from a car accident he was involved in. Bryce Young will be back in. Johnson had 8.4 total points in the first two weeks with Young. That is not good at all.
On the flip side of the ball is the Denver Broncos who have clamped down on opposing WRs so far this year. Johnson will be shadowed by the best CB in the league this year, Patrick Surtain II. PS2 has not allowed more than 9.1 points in any game this week. That is against names such as DK Metcalf, Pickens, Mike Evans, and Garrett Wilson. DJ is next on that list to get shut down.
Sit: DK Metcalf Fantasy Outlook vs Buffalo Bills
The Seattle Seahawks’ big WR will be a sit this week for us. DK Metcalf is dealing with a grade 1 MCL sprain. Mike Macdonald has said Metcalf is out Wednesday and Thursday, and he needs to practice Friday to even have a chance, but how much will he play if he is active? That is not something you should chance for your team.
The Buffalo Bills are also not a cupcake defense. Buffalo has allowed the ninth-fewest points per game to WRs so far this season. They have been good at stopping the WR1s, as only two WR1s have scored more than 10 points in a game this season. Metcalf having his injury makes this worse and it is probably not something you want to deal with this weekend, landing him on the wrong side of this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
