We are now through one-third of the NFL season, and the tight end position is getting a little bit healthier. Still, it doesn’t clear much up for fantasy football. You likely have some tough decisions to make at tight end in Week 7, but that is where we come in. Below, out Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em for Week 7 TEs will help make some of these tough decisions for the borderline TE1 options.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 7 TEs
Start: Zach Ertz Fantasy Outlook vs Carolina Panthers
The Washington Commanders TE will find himself on the right side of the Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article this week. Zach Ertz had a decent week for the Commies, with 10.8 fantasy points against the Baltimore Ravens. This is pretty respectable with how the TEs have scored this year. Jayden Daniels has been continuously getting better and will be able to use the experienced TE.
Washington will host the Carolina Panthers and their spotty defense. The Panthers’ defense has given up the eighth-most fantasy points to TEs so far this season. Last week, they gave up 10 points to Kyle Pitts in their loss to the Falcons. Start Ertz this week in your fantasy football lineups.
Start: Dalton Schultz Fantasy Outlook vs Green Bay Packers
The TE from Houston should get a look at your lineups for this week. Dalton Schultz has not been the guy to help you win a fantasy matchup this season. Ranking as TE23 through the first six games, Schultz has not had a week over 7.4 points. But now, he will face a team that is used to giving up points to TEs.
The Green Bay Packers will be the home team in this matchup. The Packers have allowed an average of 13.85 points against TEs. That is the third-most to TEs in the short season so far. Green Bay has given up 12.2 and 17.6 in the last two weeks to TEs, and that should continue with Schultz coming in this week. Start Schultz in your lineups.

Sit: Pat Freiermuth Fantasy Outlook vs New York Jets
The Pittsburgh Steelers TE will be a sit for us in the Week 7 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em. Pat Freiermuth has had an up-and-down season so far and, right now, it seems to be on the down. Last week, he totaled two receptions and 16 yards for 3.6 fantasy points against the Las Vegas Raiders. This week, the Steelers announced they will be going to Russell Wilson to be the starter.
The Steelers will host the Jets on Sunday Night Football this week. The Jets have been one of the best teams at not allowing fantasy points to TEs. The Jets average 7.85 fantasy points to TEs (seventh-fewest in the league). Bet on the Jets shutting down Freiermuth this weekend and leave him on your bench.
Sit: Hunter Henry Fantasy Outlook vs Jacksonville Jaguars
Hunter Henry is a sit, maybe a little surprisingly. Last week, Henry had his second-best outing on the season, with over 13 points. It has been double-digits or low points so far for Henry. This week, he has to travel across the pond to London to play the Jacksonville Jaguars, who will have been there for over a week by the time the game starts.
Did the Jaguars allow over 20 points to Kmet last week? Yes, but hear me out. The Jags’ defense will have had more time to get used to the time change. The Patriots will not have had as much time. The Jags will probably also look to cover the TEs more this week considering they got torched on national TV last week. For this reason, bench Henry this week.
