Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 5 WRs
Start: Zay Flowers Fantasy Outlook at Steelers
The Baltimore Ravens’ rookie WR hasn’t had the most amazing start to the season since he only ranks as WR33. However, the Zay Flowers fantasy value is at an all-time high heading into Week 5.
The Ravens face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers this week. The Steelers surrender the second-most fantasy points to WRs this season, and the Ravens are using Flowers in a variety of different ways as a receiver. This has led to him seeing 29 targets through four weeks while also seeing at least one carry every game. Flowers has also totaled at least 50 yards in every game.
Now, in a great matchup, this is the week you can feel comfortable starting Flowers, especially in PPR scoring. He, and the next receiver, are confident “starts” in our Week 5 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.
Start: Terry McLaurin Fantasy Outlook vs Bears
Terry McLaurin has been featured in the Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em series a number of times in the “sit” section, but he finally has a matchup where you can trust to start the Washington Commanders wide receiver. He also is over six weeks removed from his toe injury, so he should be viewed as essentially healthy.
Tonight, McLaurin and the Commanders face the Chicago Bears, who are a dumpster fire. Washington’s biggest issue has been pass protection this season, but the Bears have totaled just two sacks this year, meaning Sam Howell should have more time to throw deep to McLaurin on Thursday Night Football. To go along with that, Chicago has allowed opposing passers to complete over 70% of their throws this year.
Washington will be able to move the ball against the Bears, and Terry McLaurin fantasy football owners will benefit as a result.

Sit: Drake London Fantasy Outlook vs Texans
Drake London found the end zone in London last week. Who cares? That performance was still only good enough for WR31, and London ranks as the fantasy football WR52 overall this season.
Now, he faces a Houston Texans defense that ranks second overall against fantasy WRs. Sit London this week, and he may be a sit until the Falcons offense is led by a different quarterback.
Sit: Courtland Sutton Fantasy Outlook vs Jets
While the New York Jets’ start to the year has been slow, their pass defense has been elite. The Jets give up the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing WRs, and they rank in the middle in passing yards allowed. While Courtland Sutton has clearly been the Denver Broncos’ best pass-catcher, he faces a tough defense, highlighted by one of the best cornerbacks in Sauce Gardner.
Expect Sutton to get “Sauced” this week, which is why he is in this bottom section for the Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em for NFL Week 5. While he’s not a must-sit, you may want to check out the fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option.
