October 1, 2026

It has been a weird start to the season for many top wide receivers. Of course, the Puka Nacua injury situation is its own can of worms, but we also have players like Ladd McConkey, Malik Nabers, Drake London and many others who are very solid players, but their offenses have held them back in one way or another. Luckily for London owners, he found a way to explode last week. Will he keep it up? Maybe our Week 4 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em below will help to answer some of your tough lineup questions this week.

Look, I am not here to say that Ja’Marr Chase or Amon-Ra St. Brown belong in your lineup. I hope you already know that. Instead, I will go over players you may actually have a question about. These are players you may debate on starting in your WR2/3 slot, or possibly your Flex position, depending on the weekly matchup. Below, I have two players I like and two more that I am nervous about.

Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with Zach Brunner and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcome!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 4 WRs

Start: Jordan Addison Fantasy Outlook vs Dolphins

Let’s kick off the Week 4 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em with Jordan Addison, the Minnesota Vikings’ WR2 who sees an elevated role this week. Justin Jefferson injured his ankle last week and, as of Wednesday, has not practiced. Since the matchup is against the Miami Dolphins, Jefferson is likely not pressured to play this week. And since the Vikings have a Week 6 bye, Jefferson could sit out next week as well in order to get fully healthy. Regardless, Addison is expected to operate as the WR1 this week.

Kyler Murray and Addison worked out together this offseason, forming a solid chemistry. That was on display in their first full game together, with Addison totaling five catches for 90 yards and a touchdown last week. If you look at what your fantasy site tells you, this looks like a tough matchup, since the Dolphins have allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to the position. However, that doesn’t tell the full story.

Miami also allows the second-most yards per pass attempt, at 9.1. Since the Dolphins are so bad, teams have only passed it against them 46% of the time, which is the second-lowest rate in the league. While the Vikings may run the ball plenty in this game as well, they will pass the ball early, and Jordan Addison will be the primary beneficiary of that.

Start: Malik Nabers Fantasy Outlook vs Cardinals

Malik Nabers has just one top-50 performance this season, and he only finished as WR26 in PPR scoring. So, you may be concerned about starting him in Week 4, which is completely justified. However, given the matchup and another week of chemistry-building with Jameis Winston, I expect Nabers to start helping you out for fantasy again.

The matchup with the Arizona Cardinals is terrific. Arizona will travel across the country to play in the early timeslot, which I love for the Giants’ offense. Also, the Cardinals’ offense is good, and the Giants’ pass rush is horrific, so it does not look to be a game where Jameis can hand it to Cam Skattebo 25 times and coast. He will have to rip it downfield a bit and stay aggressive.

That should be music to your ears, since we already know the Cardinals’ defense is bad. They allow the most yards per pass attempt in the league, at 9.3. Malik Nabers’ confidence in his knee is building, and it is a great opportunity for him to attack downfield and get his first touchdown of the season. Arizona has given up a league-high six touchdowns to wide receivers this season, and they also allow the fourth-most fantasy points to the position.

Sit: Rome Odunze Fantasy Outlook vs Jets

There were concerns about Rome Odunze coming into this season, and he has done very little to calm those concerns. He has seven fantasy points in all three weeks, and while I applaud his consistency, he’s just not getting it done for your fantasy lineup.

Case Keenum is expected to get the start again this week. Keenum looked great, operating the offense as it is meant to be. Simply, he has to read the defense and throw to the open guy. That means throwing to players like Luther Burden and Kalif Raymond, who create a ton of separation in the middle of the field. Meanwhile, Odunze is on the outside helping to space the defense out, but that doesn’t get us fantasy points.

This week, he faces a New York Jets defense that ranks 11th against fantasy WRs. While they played the Titans in Week 1, they had to play the Packers and Lions since, and those two teams have wide receivers who put up fantasy numbers. So, it isn’t an easy matchup, and the Bears’ WR1 will likely continue to get lost on the outside. That’s why Rome Odunze is on the wrong side of our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em for the second week in a row.

Sit: Carnell Tate Fantasy Outlook at Ravens

Given the questions I have received this week from some of you, it seems like the confidence in Carnell Tate is growing. I suppose that makes sense, since he is coming off his best pro performance so far. However, his best performance was good for WR37 in PPR scoring, and that was against a Giants defense that has been incapable of rushing the passer (1 total sack).

This week, the matchup in Baltimore is much tougher. The Ravens allow the ninth-fewest yards per pass attempt (6.6). Their two sacks per game isn’t the greatest, but it’s much better than the one total sack the Giants have gotten this season, and there is a strong chance Baltimore can increase their average against a poor Tennessee offensive line.

Cam Ward will be under more pressure this week than last, meaning the long-developing routes to Carnell Tate simply don’t have a chance. He was held under 40 yards in each of the first two weeks, and it feels like a similar performance in Week 4. On top of everything, I have zero belief in him scoring a touchdown. I don’t think he creates enough separation to convert a big play, and I don’t think the Titans have many trips to the red zone to be in scoring range.
