Week 17 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em TE analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of the Cleveland Browns Harold Fannin Jr.

Congratulations! You made it to your fantasy football championship! At this point in the season, you should have your pillars of your lineup set! You know who is starting at your running back and wide receiver spots. One issue that could arise is at the tight end position. If you are in a situation where you don’t have a solid tight end, this could be another week to stream. Streaming tight ends is a very popular way to play fantasy football. When doing this, though, you are most likely choosing between a couple of players to put into that spot. I am here to help you give an idea of who to choose using players who are in positions to succeed this week. Below, we will help you make those tough decisions in that tight end grey area, discussing our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em players!

Guys like Trey McBride are not going to be covered in this article. Those guys are must-starts no matter who they play on any given week. They are just too good of players to sit. The idea is that we are taking those players who may be sitting on your bench as number two tight ends and making the decision. Get the idea?

Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with Zach Brunner, and other members, where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 17 TEs

Zach Brunner’s Week 17 Fantasy Football Rankings

Start: Harold Fannin Jr. Fantasty Outlook vs Pittsburgh Steelers

If you have watched Browns football this season, it has been quite the season. From Joe Flacco to Dillon Gabriel to Shedeur Sanders to Quinshon Judkins destroying his leg, the offense has been unpredictable, to say the least. One thing that hasn’t changed throughout the season though is Harold Fannin Jr. Fannin continues to operate in the H-Back role for the Browns, bringing about some old-school football style. Ever since Sanders has started though, Fannin has be great for fantasy. Since Week 13, Fannin has finished as TE10, TE1, TE14 and TE2. He has seen 36 targets over those four games and three touchdowns.

This week, Fannin will continue the strong end to the season, as the Browns take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have struggled against the tight end position this season, as they are giving up 9.7 fantasy points per game to the position. That includes giving up 1,015 yards and 10 touchdowns. Given the lack of talent on the outside at receiver for the Browns, Fannin will continue to stay involved as a target hog. With T.J. Watt returning to practice as well, Sanders will have limited time to get rid of the ball, meaning quick passes to Fannin are certainly in the cards in this one.

Start: Hunter Henry Fantasy Outlook vs New York Jets

It was a little bit of a lull in the middle of the season for Hunter Henry. After putting together two top-eight fantasy performances in the first four weeks, Henry went seven weeks without cashing in another top-13 performance. Since then, things have changed. In Week 11, Henry finished as TE14 and his targets have boomed. Since Week 11, Henry has totaled 36 targets and two touchdowns. He even finished with a TE1 finish in Week 12. As the Patriots continue to inch closer to the playoffs, it is obvious that Henry is a big part of that for their offense.

This week, Henry has a chance to continue to build on his strong end of the season as the New England Patriots take on the Jets this week. On the season, the Jets are surrendering 6.9 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. They have given up 750 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Given how bad the Jets have played this season, the Patriots should be able to move the ball against them. With TreVeyon Henderson likely out of this game, Henry should be able to fill some of that short-yardage receiving work to add to his big week.

Sit: Colby Parkinson Fantasy Outlook vs Atlanta Falcons

It seemed like everybody and their mother was on the Colby Parkinson hype train last week as he was slotted in for a huge performance without Davante Adams playing. That failed, as Parkinson was only able to come away with 21 yards on two receptions. Looking back at it, it makes sense that Parkinson did not have a big day given the tough matchup with the Seahawks. If he is not going to perform well against a good Seahawks defense it is really hard to trust him this week against a team that has been better against the tight end position.

That team being the Atlanta Falcons. If you have been reading my tight end Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em articles this year, you know that the tight end playing the Atlanta Falcons shows up in the sit category almost every week. I am not going to change that this week. Atlanta has been awesome against the position this year, as they are giving up just 4.4 fantasy points per game to them. At best, Parkinson is the fourth option in this offense and against a team as good as Atlanta has been in stopping tight ends, look for a different player in your championship.

Sit: Dalton Kincaid Fantasy Outlook vs Philadelphia Eagles

For some reason, people continue to use Dalton Kincaid’s name among the best tight ends in the NFL. That just is not true. For a team like the Buffalo Bills who are so needy in finding a number one weapon, it has become clear that Kincaid is just not that player. While he has had some good finishes, it has just been way too inconsistent for you to rely upon him for your fantasy championship. Injuries are also playing a factor here as he has not practiced yet this week. If you are relying on Kincaid for your championship, you need to be making a plan b now.

If Kincaid were to play, though, the matchup is horrific for the Bills’ tight end. Against the Eagles, Kincaid is bound to struggle as the Eagles have been great against the tight end position this season. On the season, Philadelphia is giving up just 3.7 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. They have given up just 461 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns this season. Philadelphia’s linebackers are too fast and too big to really consider tight ends having a mismatch against them. With Josh Allen putting more emphasis on his legs historically when it gets cold out, Kincaid is a must-sit in fantasy football this week.
