Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 15 QBs
Start: Kirk Cousins Fantasy Outlook vs. Lions
Last week, Kirk Cousins was featured in this article and he didn’t disappoint, putting up his top fantasy performance of the season, throwing for 425 yards and two touchdowns to finish as the QB5. This week, the matchup is tougher against the Indianapolis Colts, who are only allowing 16.3 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing QBs. However, they have given up fantasy points to better QBs, so Cousins still projects as a QB1 this week with the QB depth taking a hit over the last couple of weeks.
Start: Mike White Fantasy Outlook vs. Lions
Sticking with the theme of the year, if you are in need of a streamer, look no further than Mike White against the Detroit Lions. The Lions have fared better against opposing RBs as the season has progressed but still struggle mightily against opposing QBs, giving up 24.0 fppg per game. Enter White, who has a much easier matchup than last week against the Buffalo Bills. If you lost your QB over the last couple of weeks, White is a solid play.

Sit: Geno Smith Fantasy Outlook vs. 49ers
While Geno Smith has been a revelation this season and currently sits at QB6 through the fantasy regular season, he may struggle in a matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, who have held opposing QBs to only 13.7 fppg on the season. When these two teams met back in Week 2, Smith played his worst game of the season, passing for only 197 yards and an interception. With the QB situation being what it is, you may have to start him, but just be aware that he will likely underperform his season average of 19.51 fantasy points.
Sit: Jared Goff Fantasy Outlook vs. Jets
Last week, Jared Goff was a featured start in this article. He passed for 330 yards and three touchdowns at home. This week, he has to go on the road to play the New York Jets, who are only allowing 15.1 fppg to opposing QBs. In addition, Goff has some pretty large home/road splits that might also make you reconsider keeping him in your lineup after back-to-back QB4 performances. At home, Goff averages 21.5 fantasy points through eight games, and on the road, that number shrinks to 9.3 fantasy points through five games. Leave him on your bench.
