Week 13 of the fantasy football season is a tough one for the wide receiver position. Not only are there injuries and top players underperforming, but there are also many great players on bye this week. This can leave you shorthanded and scrambling to field a starting lineup. That is where we come in, helping you with this Week 13 WR Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis.
Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week due to where you drafted them, such as Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb. However, the WR2 and WR3 positions are a bit more fluid, causing some tough decisions to be made. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 13 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em analysis at WR.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 13 WRs
Start: DeAndre Hopkins Fantasy Outlook vs Colts
Start the WR1 against the Indianapolis Colts every damn week. This matchup is what dreams are made of, so DeAndre Hopkins fantasy football owners can feel fantastic knowing the veteran is an absolute START in this week’s Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.
In his first matchup against the Colts this season, we remember Will Levis dropping bombs to Nuk. Hopkins finished the game with 128 yards and three touchdowns. The Colts have given up some big performances all season long. This includes 25 PPR fantasy points to Mike Evans last week and 14.4 to Demario Douglas in the game prior.
Start: Courtland Sutton Fantasy Outlook at Houston
Courtland Sutton has been hot for fantasy football, but a tough matchup last week caused a bump in the road. There is no need to overthink this: get Sutton into your starting lineup. This week, the Denver Broncos have a fantastic matchup against the Houston Texans.
While the Texans have been good this season, it hasn’t been due to their defense. Houston gives up the third-highest completion percentage (68.9%) and they are tied for giving up the third-most yards per pass attempt (7.3) as well. This works well for Russell Wilson and a Broncos offense that is on the rise. Prior to last week, Sutton finished as a top-20 PPR fantasy football WR in three of his past four games. Look for this trend to continue in Week 13.

Sit: Cooper Kupp Fantasy Outlook vs Browns
At this point, you have to take a long look in the mirror if you’re starting Cooper Kupp on your fantasy football team. Yes, his name value is of an elite player, but his performances have been anything but that. He has caught four or fewer passes in each of his last five games, and he hit the four-catch mark just once. Kupp also has been held under 30 yards in four of these five games as well. And don’t get me started about his inability to score touchdowns.
Kupp’s lack of success doesn’t mean great things for other players either, so don’t view this as Kupp’s demise means the rise of another player. However, we’re talking only about one player right now, and you may need to make the tough decision of sitting Cooper Kupp in fantasy football this week. If you need the validation, then I’m happy my Week 13 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em can do that for you.
Sit: Drake London Fantasy Outlook at Jets
The New York Jets have been stout on defense all year long, especially against opposing passing offense. Call me crazy, but I don’t think Desmond Ridder is going to come in here and crack the code. The Jets have surrendered the second-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season, which includes only three receiving touchdowns allowed to the position.
Drake London has been quietly solid all year long, but he isn’t a difference-maker at the wide receiver position. He isn’t exceptional at anything specific, which means he isn’t going to present the Jets with something they haven’t seen. It should mean more of the same for them, which means you should site Drake London in fantasy football Week 13.
