The tight end position for fantasy football has been a bit wild this season. There are certified studs, then there are a few solid contributors that most fantasy owners are choosing to ignore. This week, the biggest stud of them all, Travis Kelce, is on bye. This means there are decisions to be made with this volatile position this week. We’ll look to help you with some Week 10 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em help below.

Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week due to where you drafted them, such as TJ Hockenson, Mark Andrews and George Kittle. However, after the top couple of tiers at the tight end position, you may be playing the matchup more than the player himself. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 9 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis at TE.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 10 TEs

Start: Hunter Henry Fantasy Outlook vs Colts (Germany)

Over in Germany, the New England Patriots will take on the Indianapolis Colts. While these international games can be viewed as a disadvantage for many players, tight end Hunter Henry has shown excitement for this week, though there are more reasons than that for featuring him in the Week 10 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

Hunter Henry fantasy owners enjoyed his start to the season, but he cooled off quickly. That was until last week when he saw seven targets, which tied his season-high. This led to a TE11 performance in PPR scoring.

The Colts give up the fifth-most fantasy points to TEs this season. The Patriots need players to step up following the Kendrick Bourne injury, and it looks like Henry could be a beneficiary of the open targets.

Start: Trey McBride Fantasy Outlook vs Falcons

Following a career-high 14 targets from Josh Dobbs, Trey McBride had to suffer through Clayton Tune last week. Despite only 11 passes being completed, McBride caught three passes. However, in a better matchup, with a better quarterback, Trey McBride will be a solid fantasy football start in Week 10.

Kyler Murray makes his season debut this week. It is a great matchup for him, as the Atlanta Falcons defense has struggled recently. The Cardinals should be able to move the ball on the ground and through the air, and McBride, as one of Arizona’s top receiving options, will benefit.

Sit: David Njoku Fantasy Outlook at Ravens

David Njoku faces an uphill battle in his matchup against the Baltimore Ravens this week. The Ravens are playing great defense right now. For the season, they are the third-toughest defense against fantasy football TEs. In fact, they have given up just one receiving touchdown to the position in nine games.

On top of a terrible matchup, Njoku is fighting through some injuries as well. Due to a knee injury, he sat out of practice on Wednesday. Even if he plays on Sunday, the matchup combined with the knee issue puts Njoku in “sit” territory for our Week 10 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

Sit: Gerald Everett Fantasy Outlook vs Lions

There really isn’t much to support playing Gerald Evertt in your fantasy football lineup. Yet, many fantasy owners continue to do so. Now, with a couple of top tight ends out this week, I’ve seen Everett be among the risers in starting percentage for leagues, which is an issue.

Gerald Everett really hasn’t been valuable with the Los Angeles Chargers while Donald Parham Jr. is active. This season, Everett has no games of 50 yards. He has totaled 30 or fewer yards in all but one game. The usage isn’t there. Look elsewhere.
