That means there will be plenty of difficult draft decisions that need to be made. The following pits the two of the premier tight ends head-to-head in an ADP (Average Draft Position) battle. Travis Kelce Fantasy ADP: 2.04

ADP Position Rank: 1
Overall Rank: 17

Travis Kelce is a household name whenever you mention the Kansas City Chiefs offense. This is Kelce’s ninth season with the Chiefs and his fifth upcoming season with star QB Patrick Mahomes as his passer. They’re still looking as great as ever. Kelce and the rest of the offense are coming off a disappointing loss in the AFC Championship Game last year. The 2021 offseason was as crazy as ever. Will some big offseason moves hinder this dynamic duo?

The 2021 NFL offseason affected the Chiefs offense as much as anyone, as every AFC West team upgraded their defense, Tyreek Hill was traded to Miami, and their new WR1 is JuJu Smith-Schuster, who they signed in the offseason. That likely won’t stop Travis Kelce, as ever since Mahomes was the starting QB in 2018 for the Chiefs, Kelce has not gone under 90 receptions and 1,100 receiving yards for the season. In a position where there are not many top options, great continuity in a high-powered offense is showing why the Travis Kelce fantasy football ADP is TE1.

Mark Andrews Fantasy ADP: 3.02

ADP Position Rank: 2
Overall Rank: 26

Mark Andrews definitely exceeded expectations last year, as he blew up for 107 receptions, for 1,361 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He even ended his season last year with five-straight games of 85+ receiving yards, and with all those stats, he ended up as TE1. It was the spark that the Ravens needed, and now his expectations are a little bit higher now after last year.

Expectations are higher now, with Marquise Brown being traded to Arizona. Mark Andrews is one that definitely lives up to his expectations, as he was one of two TEs last year to score more than 15+ PPR fantasy football points per game. He was already targeted 153 times last year, with eight of those games having 10+ targets and Lamar Jackson not finishing the last three games of the season due to injury.

Should I Draft Travis Kelce or Mark Andrews for Fantasy Football?

Both of these TEs have pretty similar stories going into this season, with their WR1 last year being traded to different teams while they have already proven that they can definitely exceed expectations. Something to consider is that based on last year, Travis Kelce has the 14th-hardest TE strength of schedule and Mark Andrews has the eighth-hardest. The AFC West upgraded everywhere offensively and defensively.

Continuity is a great thing to have. While Mark Andrews has played in four seasons, last year was his first year scoring over 15+ fantasy points per game, and just as you can exceed expectations, you can also underwhelm. Travis Kelce has not done that at all, with five straight years of scoring that average and four straight years of scoring 250+ fantasy football points in PPR scoring. That continuity was the determining factor of Travis Kelce winning this fantasy football ADP battle.
