For all who know and watch football, it’s obvious Davante Adams is the best wide receiver in the NFL. His release is legendary and his stats are great, but it’s his football IQ that speaks louder than his stats ever could.

Nearly all of the great athletes have some sort of nickname, though Davante Adams typically goes by his birth name. This is impressive and respectable in its own right. However, we need to begin calling him Mr. Sunday Night.

Davante Adams is Unstoppable on Sunday Night Football

Davante Adams is riding a bit of a hot streak heading into Sunday Night Football during NFL Week 17. He has found the end zone in 11 straight SNF games.

He has played in two SNF games this season. The first was in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers. Adams finished the game with 12 receptions for 132 yards and a touchdown. The most recent SNF game was against the Bears in Week 14. Adams also has an ownership stake in Chicago, as he totaled 10 receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns.

The run Davante Adams is on is historic. Take a look at all 11 game totals.

It’s cool to see how much Adams has developed and improved over the years. The streak began with him simply finding the end zone. Recently, he has ruined defensive coordinators’ lives.

Adams vs Minnesota Vikings on SNF

Tomorrow night, the Green Bay Packers host the Minnesota Vikings. Adams will get a golden opportunity to extend his streak to 12 games against a Vikings team that looks like they are defending with one eye closed, in honor of Mike Zimmer.

The Vikings have surrendered the second-most receiving yards to wide receivers this season, at 188.1 per game. They have also surrendered 17 touchdowns to the position. Of course, Adams has contributed to these numbers. In the first matchup against Minnesota this season, Adams totaled seven catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns.

Adams has embarrassed the Vikings in recent seasons. Over his past three matchups against them, he has totaled seven touchdowns. Yes, seven touchdowns in three games.

FlurrySports’ own Luke Reimer likes to shotgun a beer every time Adams scores a touchdown. Before you go about your day, let’s take a moment of silence for Luke’s liver heading into Sunday Night Football…
