Darren Waller Injury Update Leaves Fantasy Status in Doubt

A day after we had to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play their NFL Week 1 game without the best tight end in the league (Travis Kelce), the New York Giants gave us an unexpected Darren Waller injury update. This is unfortunate news for Darren Waller fantasy football owners, obviously.

Below, we will go over the Darren Waller injury update for fantasy football owners, and then discuss some possible tight end replacements that are currently available in most leagues.

Darren Waller Injury Update Leaves Fantasy Football Owners in Doubt

The Darren Waller injury update puts him in an uncomfortably large group of injured tight ends. Waller was added to the injury report with a hamstring injury. Late-week additions to the injury report are never good, which means Waller’s status for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys is seriously in doubt.

Darren Waller fantasy football owners used a relatively high draft pick to take the tight end, as he is expected to lead the New York Giants in receiving this season. We know how Giants receivers like to get injured, so maybe we should be surprised.

Clearly, this is a situation for Darren Waller fantasy football owners to monitor. I will update my Week 1 fantasy football rankings once I find out more. Until then, check out our fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em article for tight ends, and check if the following tight ends are available in your fantasy league.
