Cowboys vs Ravens Overview

The Cowboys will have had nearly two entire weeks to get over the sting of an embarrassing Thanksgiving Day loss to Washington and prepare for this game. At 3-8, Dallas is still alive in the NFC East division race, but they are running out of opportunities. A beaten and battered offensive line was no match for the elite Football Team defensive front and more trouble could be on the way against a similarly strong Ravens unit. If Andy Dalton is afforded time to throw, the Cowboys do figure to have enough weapons to find some successful passing plays. Tight end Dalton Schultz could prove vital in this game for the NFL picks underdogs.

Baltimore has gone from nipping at the heels of the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North to being on the outside of the conference postseason picture altogether. The Ravens need to get right as an NFL picks favorite against a Cowboys team with a poorer record. Reinforcements will be returning from the virus list this week, most notably in the form of quarterback Lamar Jackson. Running backs J.K. Dobbins and Mark Ingram will prove vital as well as Baltimore has failed to get its passing game going all season. On the other side of the ball, if Calais Campbell is able to return from injury, things will only get tougher for the already overmatched Dallas offensive line.

  • Cowboys 2020 Betting Trends: 2-9 ATS; 6-5 to the Over
  • Ravens 2020 Betting Trends: 5-6 ATS; 4-7 to the Over
  • Home teams are 4-1 straight up in the all-time head-to-head series between the Cowboys and Ravens.
  • The Cowboys are 30-18-2 ATS in their last 50 road games with an over/under line of 45 points or more.
  • The Under has hit in 13 of the Ravens’ last 15 home games with an over/under line of 45 points or more.

Monkey Knife Fight NFL Props

Monkey Knife Fight is a DFS site unlike DraftKings or FanDuel. Instead, the contests feature props to play, with varying multipliers for each contest. Unlike the aforementioned sites, you are only competing with yourself when making NFL picks on MKF, and you do not need to worry about annoying salary caps.

Here is one of my favorite Monkey Knife Fight NFL props for the Cowboys vs Ravens game.

The Ravens have struggled to generate much of any passing offense this season. Lamar Jackson’s return coupled with the must-win situation leads me to believe Baltimore will have a plan in place to get their pass-catchers involved. With tight end Mark Andrews ruled out, Marquise Brown figures to be the featured target. I like him to have more receptions than Michael Gallup who is arguably only the fourth option in the Dallas offense.

Concerning the rushing yards portion of this NFL picks prop, Ezekiel Elliott and J.K. Dobbins are two backs who have been trending in opposite directions. The Ravens’ identity is on the ground while Dallas’ offensive line is in shambles. Add in a potent Baltimore run defense and I’ll take Dobbins to finish with more yards even if he has a few less carries.

Picking all three player matchups correctly would win you 3x your buy-in.

Cowboys vs Ravens NFL Picks and NFL Odds

One need not look further than the limited betting opportunities currently available to realize that there is significant uncertainty regarding this game. While we don’t know just who will and won’t be available as far as personnel, the Ravens figure to be a much more complete version of themselves than they were this past Wednesday against Pittsburgh. Baltimore rates as the better team in almost all metrics. But when it comes to NFL picks, laying more than a touchdown is just not something I’m willing to do based on their recent form.

As such, the over/under is the best straight value NFL picks bet I can find on this game at the time of writing. The Cowboys defense has been playing much better in recent weeks. While they gave up a lot of points to Washington, the offense did not help matters by turning the ball over and leaving the defense with very short fields. At the same time, the Ravens defense held their own against Pittsburgh and should have no trouble dominating the line of scrimmage in this one. Under 45 total points is the way to go.

Pick: Under 45 (-110 at Bovada Sportsbook)
