Tyler Guyton Scouting Report

Strengths

Tyler Guyton moves extremely well for his size. He’s athletic and has great footwork; he shouldn’t have an issue staying in front of edge rushers. His length also obviously helps out with this. Guyton has all of the athletic and physical gifts needed to be a great starter at tackle in the NFL.

Weaknesses

While Guyton has the God-given gifts that most can only dream of, there’s a lot of work left to be done. His technique is inconsistent at best, leading to inconsistent results. He stands up a bit too much, which is the last thing you need as a 6-8 lineman. Guyton also needs to get strong and work on his strikes.

What to Expect From Tyler Guyton in 2024

Tyler Guyton is a Day 1 starter at tackle for the Cowboys. However, it’s going to have some issues early on. While he has all of the tools to be an incredible tackle, he needs to completely rework his technique. Guyton will bring inconsistent results, but be patient. As long as he gets the right coaching and his confidence remains intact, he will become the player he was drafted to be.
