The Cowboys are in an interesting position tonight, coming into this game without head coach Mike McCarthy, who is out with Covid. In his place, defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will serve as the head coach. We have seen in the past how he has struggled to be both the head coach and defensive play-caller. In fact, many of these struggles were against this Saints team. The good news for the Cowboys is they are expected to have all three of their wide receivers back on the field together. Given this is arguably the most talented receiving trio in the NFL, it should help this offense out a lot.
After sitting pretty at 5-2, the Saints have lost four games in a row. Clearly, something needs to change, and a big change is expected to take place. While the switch has not been confirmed, Taysom Hill has practiced as the starting quarterback for New Orleans this week. Given the lack of playmakers at receiver, it makes sense to switch to a mobile quarterback that allows this ground game to expand. While this will make the Saints look very different, will it yield a different result?
