Clippers vs Warriors NBA Betting Overview

Clippers Outlook

Los Angeles lost a three-point thriller to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, a game in which they were without one of their stars in Paul George. Despite getting 30 points from Kawhi Leonard and both Nicolas Batum and Patrick Beverly also eclipsing the 20-point threshold, the Clippers couldn’t quite get over the hump. George remains day-to-day and his status for Wednesday’s game is very much up in the air. Given that it is the second night of a back-to-back, the Clippers could very well sit Leonard as well for load management purposes. Both of these storylines have heavily impacted the NBA betting market and lines for this matchup.

Clippers Injury Report

Questionable: Paul George (ankle), Kawhi Leonard (load management), Marcus Morris (knee)

Warriors Outlook

No one in the NBA has been hotter shooting the basketball of late than Warriors guard Stephen Curry. The two-time NBA MVP followed up his monstrous 62-point effort against Portland with another 30 points in Golden State’s win over Sacramento on Monday night. Curry will look to keep the hot streak going against what very well could be an undermanned Clippers team on Wednesday. The other bright spot to note for Golden State early on in the season has been the play of rookie center James Wiseman. The number two overall pick in the draft looks like a star in the making. The Warriors would certainly welcome consistent frontcourt production moving forward as they look to build back up to being championship contenders.

Clippers vs Warriors Prop Bet

Stephen Curry Total Assists: Over 5.5 (-114 at Bovada Sportsbook)

If there is one opposing point guard who is capable of throwing Stephen Curry off his rhythm, it is Patrick Beverly. This matchup will be something to watch Wednesday night, especially if the Clippers are without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. If that is the case, Beverly’s primary responsibility will be turning up the defensive intensity and limiting Curry’s scoring chances. While this is easier said than done, there is an avenue to cash in from the NBA betting perspective.

Even if he has less opportunity as a scorer, we know Curry will have the ball in his hands on a regular basis. His best bet may be to set other teammates up with positive scoring looks of their own. On the young season, Curry has surpassed the over/under line of 5.5 assists in five out of seven games played. Look for the former NBA MVP to once again be dishing the rock on a regular basis in tonight’s game.
