It was a relatively tame NFL Free Agency, but all 32 teams now have their attention directed toward the 2023 NFL Draft in order to add talent to their rosters. The first round of the draft is kicking off on Thursday, April 27th. Of course, draft analysis, projections and rumors will be dominating the NFL news until then. Among the players expected to hear his name called early on is C.J. Stroud out of Ohio State.

Strengths
C.J. Stroud has an ideal 6-3, 215-pound frame for an NFL quarterback. Stroud has the IQ and experience to excel in any NFL that he is put into. He has intangibles and is a natural-born leader, who should be able to lead a rebuilding franchise. Stroud is willing to stand in the pocket while taking hits and delivering passes with zip on them on the money. He excels at hitting crossing routes and routes outside of the numbers. Stroud has NFL-level arm strength and should be able to make almost any throw.
Weaknesses
Even though Stroud has shown that he can elude rushers, he is not mobile in every situation and will sometimes succumb quickly to pressure. Playing at Ohio State, Stroud was surrounded by NFL talent. While he still will be surrounded by NFL talent in the NFL, the jury is still out on if Stroud can carry a team.
