Both the Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans made notable additions this offseason in hopes of competing now. However, these offenses play very different styles of football. Arizona wants to spread out the defense and pass it around, while Tennessee wants to run downhill at you. Which style will prevail in the Cardinals vs Titans NFL betting matchup?
The following Cardinals vs Titans NFL betting preview will give you the current odds, betting trends and picks for the Week 1 matchup.
NFL Regular Season — Week 1 Game
Arizona Cardinals (0-0, 0-0 Away) vs. Tennessee Titans (0-0, 0-0 Home)
Date: Sunday, September 12, 2021
Time: 1:00 p.m. EST
Venue: Nissan Stadium — Nashville, TN
Coverage: CBS
The Cardinals added weapons on both sides of the football, telling us they are looking to compete right now. Someone tell them that they are the odds favorite to lose their division. Kyler Murray proves to be electric with his legs, but he leaves a lot to be desired as a passer. The offensive line for Arizona also isn’t great. Defensively, the headline acquisition was J.J. Watt, but it may be the rookie Zaven Collins who becomes the biggest game-changer newcomer. If the defense can get off the field and put Murray in positive field position, they may be able to surprise some people and prove head coach Kliff Kingsbury isn’t over his head.
The Titans are mostly running things back this season, with a couple added exceptions. They replace Corey Davis at wide receiver with Julio Jones — not bad. Still, the obvious weakness of this team last season was the defense. The addition of Bud Dupree is big, but a strong passing team will likely have little trouble with the Titans’ defense. They shouldn’t be done adding talent to that side of the ball.
