Strengths
When your dad is Marvin Harrison, you know you’re going to be ready for the NFL. He has good releases off the line and leaves defenders in the dust on some of the quickest cuts and cleanest routes you’ll see at the college level. He has good awareness and can contort his body to make some ridiculous catches. He may be one of the most complete wide receivers we’ve seen come out of college in a while.
Weaknesses
One of the only weaknesses in Harrison’s game is that he doesn’t have the top-end speed you’d like to see out of a receiver. While he is certainly shifty, he certainly isn’t a burner either. In addition, although it’s only been an issue for this past season, the amount of drops he had in 2023 raised some eyebrows.
What to Expect From Marvin Harrison Jr. in 2024
There is little question that Marvin Harrison Jr. is pro ready and he will easily slot in as the top receiver in this offense. Harrison Jr. should get the bulk of the targets from Kyler Murray and he should have a great season this year. While it’s impossible to predict first year stats for any players at this stage, it’s not out of the question for Harrison Jr. to put up a rookie season similar to those of Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson, at least from a target aspect.
