If you own Stefon Diggs or have even caught a glimpse of what is happening with Diggs, you would know that he is currently in a dilemma since the transition to offensive coordinator Joe Brady. This raises questions of whether Diggs will be able to break out and reclaim his dominance in a Week 17 divisional clash against the Patriots. So, what should Stefon Diggs fantasy owners do this week?

Should I Start Stefon Diggs in Fantasy Football Week 17?

For those that do not know the stats, in the first 10 weeks of the season, Stefon Diggs was in top form, boasting averages of 7.3 receptions on 10.2 targets, 86.8 yards, 0.7 touchdowns and an impressive 20.7 PPR fantasy points per game. These stellar performances propelled him to WR4 in PPR scoring during that period. However, a noticeable decline emerged since Week 11, with averages dropping to 4.6 receptions on 8.6 targets, 40.4 yards, 0.2 touchdowns and a disappointing 9.8 PPR fantasy points per game. This has plummeted Diggs down to WR47 in PPR scoring over this span.

While the Patriots have allowed a touchdown to a wide receiver in three consecutive games, a deeper analysis reveals a more concerning trend. In three of the last four games, no wide receiver has managed to exceed 64 receiving yards against the Patriots. This poses a challenge for Diggs, who himself has struggled to surpass the 50-yard mark in his last three outings. The matchup, while tempting with the touchdown potential, I believe it will lead to another week with a disappointing outcome for Diggs.
