The 2-0 NBA Playoffs series in the Eastern Conference shifts to South Beach for Game 3 tonight. After a dominant performance in Game 2, the Milwaukee Bucks are firmly in control, as they look to avenge last year’s postseason exit at the hands of the Miami Heat. That being said, don’t count out the feisty Heat just yet, with the series heading to their home court. This NBA betting preview for the Bucks vs Heat NBA Playoffs matchup will provide game info, betting trends, odds and a prediction for Game 3 of this series.

Bucks vs Heat Game Info

NBA Eastern Conference Quarterfinals NBA Playoffs Game 3 (MIL leads 2-0)
Milwaukee Bucks (48-26, 20-16 Away) vs. Miami Heat (40-34, 21-15 Home)
Date: Thursday, May 27, 2021
Start Time: 7:30 p.m. EST
Venue: AmericanAirlines Arena — Miami, FL

After a last-second Jimmy Butler basket forced overtime in a thrilling Game 1, the Heat failed to muster any kind of resistance in Game 2 of this NBA Playoffs series. Butler’s shooting struggles continued as he was held to just 10 points. The fact that Dewayne Dedmon played 21 minutes and led all Miami players with 19 points pretty much sums up what was a miserable second game. The defending Eastern Conference champions are now left to pick up the pieces on their home floor in Games 3 and 4. Goran Dragic has exceeded expectations in each of the first two games. Other than him, the Heat have largely been a disappointment.

If we weren’t convinced that the Bucks were up to the task of exacting some revenge from last season, Game 2 was a major statement. Milwaukee has flown somewhat in the shadow of the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets atop the East standings this season. Perhaps that’s the perfect place for this team to finally take the next step. Giannis Antetokounmpo was phenomenal in Game 2 with 31 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. He alone makes the Bucks a worthy NBA betting consideration seemingly every time this team takes the floor. Jrue Holiday has made the exact difference the Bucks hoped he would when they acquired him in the offseason. His 11-point, 15-assist double-double in Game 2 was huge. Armed with a capable floor general, this Bucks team is better than in years prior, even if they aren’t the top seed in the bracket.
