After the departure of N’Keal Harry, Brandon Aiyuk became the Sun Devils lead target in 2019. Furthermore, He became one of the most electrifying receivers in the Pac 12. Despite ranking only 8th in receptions, he ranked 2nd in yards and 3rd in avg. yards per game. Aiyuk showed an uncanny ability to slip tacklers and show off his game breaking speed.

Aiyuk was a vital piece to Arizona St. having their best season in five years, winning the Sun Bowl vs Florida St. He will look to do the same for the Super Bowl runner-up San Fransisco 49ers, after being selected 25th in this years draft.

Aiyuk was the 6th receiver taken in the 2020 draft that had more depth at receiver than any other position. An NFL Draft record 13 receivers were taken in the first two rounds, eclipsing the past record of 12 in 2014. As always, there will be some misses with first round receivers, but Aiyuk fell to the perfect team.

Led by third year head coach Kyle Shanahan, the 49ers ranked 4th in total offense in 2019. In addition, Jimmy Garoppolo was able to finish his first full season as a starting quarterback throwing for 3,978 yards and 27 TD’s. While the San Fan offense was efficient in 2019, they will look to replace the production of Emmanuel Sanders who went to the Saints in Free-Agency. That being said, look for the Aiyuk to step right in and be a key contributor for Jimmy G.
