The marquee NFL game of the Week 14 late-afternoon window features the Buffalo Bills traveling down to the Sunshine State to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While both teams’ fanbases came into the season with Super Bowl aspirations, only one of these clubs has proven to be deserving of the hype thus far. Sunday’s matchup looms particularly large for the visitors when it comes to the current playoff standings. However, the NFL betting odds have named the home side as the favorite ahead of this Bills vs Buccaneers showdown.

The following Bills vs Buccaneers NFL betting preview will give you the current odds, betting trends and picks for the Week 14 matchup, along with a stream link to watch games all season long.

    Buffalo Bills Preview

Ever since picking up what many felt was a statement win over the Kansas City Chiefs back in early October, the Bills have had no semblance of consistency to their season. They have now alternated wins and losses over the last seven weeks, dropping four of seven and suddenly finding themselves in a dog fight just to hang onto a Wild Card spot in the AFC. Last Monday night saw Buffalo get manhandled by the New England Patriots on their home field.

All of a sudden, the two glaring issues the Bills dealt with a season ago have reemerged in 2021. Buffalo cannot stop the run defensively, as was clearly illustrated in the NFL betting loss to New England. No matter how many guys crowded the box, the Patriots just kept on moving the chains on the ground. In addition, the loss of top cover corner Tre’Davious White to season-ending injury figures to leave the Bills prone in the secondary against the Buccaneers’ passing attack. Meanwhile, the Bills also cannot run the ball themselves on offense. It typically isn’t a good sign when your quarterback is also your biggest rushing threat. That is exactly the scenario that Josh Allen finds himself in again this season.

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preview

The reigning Super Bowl champs enter Week 14 on a three-game winning streak. After picking up another massive statistical performance against the Atlanta Falcons last week, quarterback Tom Brady is among the NFL betting favorites to win the MVP Award at age 44. He could make a strong case this Sunday against an all-too-familiar opponent from his time in Foxborough. The Bucs will once again have their top-three pass-catchers active on Sunday as tight end Rob Gronkowski was not on the team’s final injury report. Along with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, he provides Brady with more than enough star talent to make up for the continued absence of Antonio Brown.

While Tampa Bay’s passing attack garners much of the hype and attention, it has also been clear this season that the Bucs aren’t afraid to punish defenses on the ground. Leonard Fournette has emerged as a fantasy football star this season upon taking over the bell-cow role in the backfield. He could be in line for another huge day against the poor Buffalo run defense. The Bucs’ run game will also get a boost from the return of offensive guard Ali Marpet after a one-game injury-related absence. On defense, the key for Tampa in Sunday’s NFL betting contest will be establishing a consistent pass rush. Given that the secondary is depleted by injuries, it will be paramount for the Bucs front to contain Josh Allen and prevent him from extending plays with his legs.
